Personally. If I had a property near South Road, and I was going to have my house acquired, without the need of a hard sell in an undesirable location, I'd be throwing a party.
I've often thought that as well. The people I feel sorry for are the ones who used to live 50 meters away from South Road but now live right on the very side of it having received not a cent in compensation...

Yep... you'd be praying that your house would be one of the ones aquired not one of the ones left!

Are we going to speculate about what will be demolished in this thread?

They already announced where the tunnel goes after the tram line (if they build it of course), but what about the tunnel from Hindmarsh to South Road/ANZAC Highway Ashford?

Nearly all of these properties on the eastern side of South Road, from Barwell Avenue to ANZAC Highway, are houses. Are these a prime candidate for the proposed claim zone and bonuses?

Ran past the Torrens Road intersection and saw the new screens that have been put up.

The image at the top of page 2 reminds me of those photos of 16 lane highways in China suddenly being funneled through a toll gate that only has 2 lanes open today

In this scenario you also presumably bought the property in that location in the first place though so don't mind it.

Happy to hear the Ayliffes Road bridge will (hopefully) be opening this year!

On an unrelated note, will the remedial works (landscaping, footpaths, kerbing, etc) on the southbound lanes of MSR continue past McDonalds up to BP? Works on the northbound lanes finishes just before Hungry Jack's where the new pathway cuts behind HJ's. It would look a bit odd if one side of the footpath is shiny and new, and the other is old and crumbling.

Look odd? That's the way they roll with landscaping of public works in SA. And don't worry about the miss match, within 12 months it will all be a weed infested dead mess, so it will all be matching anyway,

3 years to finish what is realistically in the grand scheme of things probably the simplest and most straightforward section of the whole NS Corridor project...

Something doesn't seem right here.

Dragging it out so there is no gap by the time the next section(s) start? Let’s be honest it isn’t going to be anytime soon, going by previous projects on NSMW.

2020 is only 3 months away. If its completed early 2022, thats only 2 1/4 years from now

Pretty believable timelines until the end of 2020. Then it gets weird.

I think it's being dragged out not because of other sections, but because of the State Election in 2022.
