They have cut down all of the trees but plenty of tree stumps/roots to still be taken out. I expect they will be working on moving all the electricity poles & doing the underground services. They have been setting up the base camp on Hudson St. I am wondering if they will start building the service roads and/or a big roundabout at the Regency/South Rd intersection when they need to divert traffic.

Demolition complete, tree removal complete, earthworks just north of Regency Road, service relocations underway.

They're gonna have to do a fair bit of demolition of both mature greenery and cycle path in order to connect the western B road from Pym up to where the B road currently starts/ends at the bottom of the superway, and they'll also need to make some compulsory purchases from the commercials on the eastern side to turn 1 lane into two

I believe that the acquisition and demolition required has already occurred. Are there particular buildings/trees that you think still need to go?

You shouldn't be able to turn right from Crossley Avenue & Red Road onto Regency Road, and also shouldn't be able to turn from Regency Road while heading east into those side streets.

Agree, unless Crossley is intended as an updated bus route following the closure of Pym Street.

If they had brains, they'd stop sending buses down side streets and keep them to main arterial roads. But this is the South Australian government so who knows.
Re-route them to Torrens road, that's where they end up anyway.

The usual "wisdom" is that people will walk at most 200m to a bus stop. if the bus routes are only on the arterial roads, then parking for cars and electric mobility devices needs to be provided.
That area already looks like it misses some houses with stops only on Regency, Days and Pym Roads/Street (plus Islington station).

What’s the rationale behind closing access to Pym Street? Surely it would benefit Torrens and Regency Roads if all local traffic wasn’t forcefully rerouted. The Darlington Interchange, for example, is keeping Mimosa Terrace and Sutton Road access open above the motorway. A similar argument can be made for the Flinders Drive extension (though Flinders Drive is a busier road the same logic can apply).

bit of extra cash here and there it seems.

The article makes mention of extra cash for the Darlington Interchange and Flinders rail extension specifically, it doesn’t seem to make any mention of the rest of the North-South Corridor. The rest of the funding seems to be going towards regional roads.
