They should include 'bus only' stopping areas and bus priority signals to facilitate a continuous bus lane.

There's no reason Peter Van couldn't wrangle a deal with the government to relocate to a new building on the corner next to the high school where the existing road will be removed. Might work out cheaper for the government.
Would be a shame to lose the green space though. How about the area where the eastern end of Daws Road will be deleted? Looks big enough.

Probably better to just find a new site elsewhere (or close up shop and retire) - if they relocated across the road then they would probably be stuck without a premises for 12-18 months while the intersection & a new premises is built.

Why are people saying they are pleased Bedford isn't being touched when Bedford actually wants to move to new, larger digs and were going to use the sale money to do it?

All the Liberals have done is flip the original plan over, choosing to inconvenience all the stakeholders rather than go back to the previous plan after everyone shot down their idiotic 'upgrade'

That's where I was referring to, would save the government having to remediate the area into something else and would solve one of the acquisition hurdles with this proposal.

An LED sign in the Peter van Carl park displays;

‘The party isn’t over, relocating Feb 2020’
