One of the worst intersections.

Port Road should narrow as it gets closer to the intersection.
That way they can remove that silly middle section and set of lights, and traffic can flow through there quicker.

by how good is he
Yes while its an improvement they should have at least got rid altogether of the stupid triangle on the corner of Port Rd & Clark Tce. I also think they will still have problems with cars waiting to turn onto Port Rd (in front of Bunnings) as it will still only fit a handful of cars. The WL Boulevard turn will merge from two lanes back to one lane, so a bit pointless.
A train tunnel/at grade intersection would cost big bucks but would have been a big help.

Won’t ever be done, because it’s not frequent enough to justify the expense.

Lol, let's spend tens of millions tunnelling a branch train-line under a road even though it's likely to close within the next decade.

All of those silly intersections on port road should be fixed. I don't understand why there isn't atleast a plan to do one every year.

Maybe due to the lack of community push/campaign for it. Should definitely get some form of plan drafted out and get more locals to rally behind some sort of plan. Stuff like this needs more media attention and community outcry for some infrastructure push or pushback to happen.

Maybe because for the most part a lot of them don't really require any changing? Most of them don't cause too many delays so why spend millions getting rid of them or 'fixing' them. I think a greater priority for Port Road is resolving the draining/storm water issues (which is currently happening) and resurfacing a majority of the road surface which is in really back condition.
