This is close to topping out now with possibly the last level of concrete panels being lifted today. Makes me wonder once this is done what will top out next. Going on speed of progress I reckon West Franklin.

Some open truss structures have been installed at the top floor.

Perhaps developments like this need a glass to concrete/blank wall ratio ;)

The shading of the circles is so inconsistent. Unless there is something I don't know (a paint job or the like) SCAP need to grow a pair and demand the finished outcome depicts what was proposed. Better yet, they could demand this take place at the application stage.. but their track record on approvals shows that there's a fat chance of this happening.

To be fair, unless it was some stunning rural SA silo like mural, a paint job on this would be akin to polishing a turd.

In the view at the angle of the last photo, this building will be completely obscured by Adelaidean in a year or two anyway, won't it? I recognise it will still be visible from other angles.

Was down Rundle yesterday. This is huge for the area and to think Adelaidean and 118N are to follow. Drastic changes and a bit hard to fathom really.

Further to the discussion on how prominent this building is, it will always loom large when viewed from Rundle Street. Taken today.

Yep, quite right about the Rundle Street presence. Bit of a shame given that the most complimentary thing I have heard anyone say about this pile of crap is that it will soon be hidden from view.

People who carry on about the Waymouth Student tower (the Sponge) should turn their animosity to this. At least "the Sponge" has some design articulation and variance, this is lacking in that. Sheer concrete walls with vague non-descript patterning gives this tower the complete bunker look. Should the "staining" to highlight the patterning occur, it will help it. But as it stands this tower is a phenomenal let down, considering it's prime location.

Here's hoping there isn't a repeated "dumbing down" of the facade treatment on Adelaidean too.
Walking on over....

Amen. I've warmed up to Waymouth, precisely because this shit has come up. It's worse and should have never been allowed in this location especially.

Agreed. This is even worse than Waymouth street. This building getting approval just shows how incompetent
our state government is.
