Anyway they can plant vines to grow up it once painted? Will add more greenery to the development and a wall of nature so to speak would be stricking amongst all the concrete.
If maintained, vines or a vertical garden would be a huge improvement. The impact would look great from Vic Square. It would make the area feel less concretey.
That's the key problem with doing something like that though — it would burden the body corporate with significant ongoing costs. It'd be costly enough to maintain on a low rise building, but on a 30 level building it would be painfully expensive. Can't imagine how long it would take vines to grow that high either (is it even possible?).

Nice idea, but if you want to jazz that wall up a bit a mural is a much more practical option.

I think that the better option, if you wanted to have a vertical garden, would be to grow the vines from the top to the bottom rather than from bottom to top.

Top to bottom would be best.
Also would love the idea of a mural. We have a lot of great street artists that would do a wonderful job. Currently, Lisa King is doing a great job at Bowden.

The moving wall on Pultney st is great, imagine that on this scale? Very cool.

This development has come up looking pretty dam good, it would be such a shame for one element to bring it down.

That in Sydney looks fantastic. That is was what Bohem [facing Whitmore Sq] was supposed to look like... anyone know what is going on with that vertical garden?

Ther are plants on Bohem. They have only just been put in, give them time to establish.

One Central Park also has architectural merit, Bohem is a pathetic mismatch of balconies, concrete and faux brick. It'll take more than a few green walls to make it look half decent.

Yep, it's a shocker. I struggle to find one redeeming quality about it, except maybe the nice looking restaurant on the south ground level.

Yes and the original renders of this and Vue [same developer] look nothing like the finished building. I know its an "artists impression" but in general can buyers who buy off the plan do anything when the actual is so different from the proposed?

I'm pretty sure I saw at one stage there was a plan to clad the centre section of the western facade with solar panels on Kodo. As it faced west there would be a decent daily timeline of uninterrupted western sun, and it would have broken up the monotony of concrete. I think that has been scrapped now however.

Anyway... back to Kodo... Final Lift pour today. I'd say the formwork will be dismantled in the next 2 weeks and we will have reached full height.

Decided to take some photos from Vic Square and Gouger St, during that sunny Sunday last weekend. I agree that the Western side currently looks pretty bad (compared to the awesome Eastern side), but I will reserve judgement until it's complete. (16/9/2018)
