There may be some movement on this one, the big advertising sign at the front was removed yesterday. Any news of a builder being appointed?

Site is for sale so that may be why.

As far as I can tell it's the finished hotel that's for sale. I'm not sure how these things work so I might be wrong...

Couldn't get much more of a perfect location for a hotel in the Adelaide CBD.

As an aside, is there a plan to widen/upgrade the footpaths in Bentham St?

There's a plan to turn Bentham St into shared space as part of the Railway Station to Central Market route. The work has already started. See separate thread.
cheers,

Well looks like they are selling it or looking for a joint venture

Travelodge Asia is a hotel developer+franchiser, it's normal that it would be on the market as such

"Pre-purchase" means you agree to buy the hotel once Mandala (the developer) complete it, with a lease to the operator. Operator is TFE Hotels (though this one is not on the "Coming soon" list yet), they run Travelodge branded properties among others.

Not sure if the builder is confirmed yet, but possibly Synergy.

Walked past this site today and the front concrete wall has been demolished and the car park dug up.

In case anyone is curious I passed by the site yesterday afternoon and got some photos of the site works. Anyone know the average timeline between site works and construction? I'm sure it's quite variable.

Still doing work on underground services on Bentham Street. No further site works have commenced yet.
