The open air carpark on the corner of Pulteney and Angas St is listed for sale in The Advertiser business section today, so hopefully it's sold and developed.

Have always felt that Peregrine Corporation should buy this site and either build their new HQ here (instead of on the Parade), or build their HQ where their current OTR is on the opposite side and build a replacement service station here. Pipe-dreams aside. The likelihood is that if it isn't apartments, it'll be low-rise offices for the new hospital opposite.

In total, it's quite an impressive list of hotel brands coming to Adelaide in the next coming years...
So what are we up to now:

UC:
Sofitel -- Currie Street
Crowne Plaza -- Frome Street
Hotel Indigo -- Market Street
Casino -- Railway Station

Potentially happening:
Adelaide Oval
Westin -- GPO
Park Hotel -- Pirie Street
QT -- Currie Street
Quest -- North Terrace
TRYP -- Pulteney Street
Travelodge -- Bentham Street
Vibe -- Flinders Street
Tribe -- Wakefield Street
Tynte Street (North Adelaide)

Is U2 now confirmed as a hotel? What else did I miss?

There's a rumour that the proposed tower on the corner of King William and Currie street will feature a W hotel.
Walking on over....

I hope so.

Got to tour the new W hotel in Brisbane recently and it was absolutely stunning.

Fingers crossed! This is one of the developments I'm most keen to get off the ground, and W hotels would be a welcome addition to the city's accommodation options.

From the Advertiser:
LIGHTING up Pirie Street is the thinking behind the regeneration of one of its soon to be more desirable, if hitherto largely unnoticed, office towers.
A rooftop ‘fish bowl’ that will beam out light in different colours is set to illuminate the immediate vicinity from the top of 74 Pirie Street says Maras Group CEO, Steve Maras - a vibrancy that will be enhanced by a feature LED strip running from roof to floor along the side of the building abutting Coromandel Place on the western side.
The striking look is not, however, a first for the CBD said Mr Maras who pointed to the success of another of their recent office buildings at 8-10 Union Street in the city’s East End, which has boasted a neon blue lit facade for the last five years.
“We have a particular interest in ensuring that our buildings stay alive day and night,” Mr Maras said.
“The lighting up of the Union Street office building facade has been a success which has attracted much interest in the building and it remains a building that is very well photographed. We saw an opportunity to do the same with 74 Pirie Street, albeit differently.”
The art deco themed, and Maras Group owned, Palace Nova Cinema in Prospect, is another example of how bright lights can attract interest and business, with the $20 million new build proving to be a shining success since opening in December 2017.
The new look, and to-date inconspicuous, nine level 74 Pirie St, which sits midway between King William Street and Hindmarsh Square, will be a reasonably fast revamp turnaround.
“Our construction team is in full swing right now so we expect it to be finished around August or September this year,” Mr Maras said.
Also up for grabs right now are exclusive signage and naming rights as well as a stunning, fully self-contained rooftop terrace that will offer a private retreat with facilities to suit meetings or a large breakout space for entertaining. New end of trip facilities will also be coming soon Mr Maras said with a basement facility to include bike racks, lockers, toilets and showers, plus storage areas.
Typical floor plates are 240sq m with a total lettable area of 1,630 sqm.
Interest is hotting up already Mr Maras said with potential tenants.
“We are about to erect scaffolding outside the building for the external transformation and are now taking people through the building as it begins to take shape. We’ve already had people from the defence, engineering, financial services and stockbroking, legal, commercial property, marketing and advertising industries come through.”

The site at 145 Grote St. is under contract. You'd imagine due to its prominent location to see something built there in the medium term.

From what I understand it is very unlikely that any significant development will occur here within the next decade unless Kennards decide not to renew their lease.

Seems like everything being built in Adeliade is just generic cheap junk. Quite sad really.

The paint on the previously known AON building is peeling off only a few months. this will look terrible soon if not changed but looks like the whole building will need to be painted again. The whole building has this peeling off look.

Well that's a waste of time and money, especially when the blue beforehand was nicer (albeit fading).

Since the change in government last year we have had no new large apartment buildings start pre sales that i can think of. I assume this is because of the now killed off stamp duty concession. Once Realm, Adelaidean and Luminesque are complete over the next 12 months there is nothing else in the pipeline. I think its a bit concerning as we have seen how long projects take to get from proposal to construction stage. The government need to incentavise people moving to the CBD. Not necessarily stamp duty concession but something. Perhaps it should have been phased out over a number of years rather then a blanket cut off.

Find a way for moving people into the CBD to get more of them into cars and I'm sure it will happen.
