Please don't bump threads asking for updates. It causes other people to think that there is an update, ugh.

I haven’t heard anything specific but the carpark has been cleared where the Kodo site offices where so maybe they are opening it back up temporarily. I’ve heard penny place should start end of the year.

Heya, is this out for tender already? I mean, should the rumors be true--that the construction will start sometime this 4th quarter...

Advertiser article about Kodo mentions this is still planning to begin by the end of this year.

There's an article about this in the Business section of The Advertiser, it's paywalled though. Also, think this render is newish: https://rimh2.domainstatic.com.au/fqwqZ ... 1600-h1066

This really is the most unimaginative, bland, vanilla design that I've seen in a very long time.

As someone looking to buy a CBD apartment, this would have to be the least enticing. You'll be built out on every aspect.

Pretty sure early site works have started. Offices have been set up and there is machinery on site.

It's a shame that another large project in Adelaide's CBD has gone to a Melbourne builder.

That's a very insular perspective. The build should be awarded to whoever puts in the best quote.

What should happen doesn't always happen.
I am sure that you heard of 'preferred tenderers', where other builders essentially don't even get a leg in. I didn't even see this project go out to tender and just heard that Maxcon were awarded (gifted) the job. Likewise, what also happens is that Maxcon has a propensity to use Melbourne resources and award sub-contracts to Melbourne contractors. Call it a "very insular perspective" if you like, but it does little for employment in SA.
