Very promising looking expansion. It's early stages yet and I don't see how the Go Zone expansion can occur when we hear of bus drivers getting laid off?

I'd like to see the squiggly routes straightened out and better cross town connectivity. It's hard to move about the suburbs without travelling through the CBD. Fortunately, the main suburban centres of Adelaide make up something like a square that could be connected with one circular route. For example, a route that goes from Modbury -> Port Adelaide -> Airport -> Glenelg -> Glen Osmond -> Norwood -> Klemzig interchange, then O-Bahn -> Modbury. This would be a huge loop, about 70 km long, but it would cover the majority of cross town journeys in Adelaide.
Thirty years ago, there were dedicated buses painted bright orange running the "circle line" route, in both directions. I think it was route 100, going roughly Cross Road, Portrush Road, Hampstead Road, Regency Road, Marion Road. It looks like route 100 currently does the west and south parts of that loop. Route 300 is a full loop, a bit further out but also using Portrush and part of Cross Road, and intersecting route 100 at Arndale and Glen Osmond.

I think there are big gaps in the map meaning that a lot of cross-suburban routes are not covered by the Go Zone. Major roads which don't direct to the CBD including a huge chunk of Tapleys Hill Rd, Portrush Rd and Regency Rd are all omitted from the map. Would love to see more suburban routes, in particular the 300 to be straightened at certain sections like West Beach and potentially separated into multiple shorter routes as well (probs a reason why it's late all the time?)

Splitting it into sections defeats its purpose, unless there are stops that routinely have zero passengers passing them. It's OK, perhaps even better if those natural split points turn out to be significant in terms of passengers joining or leaving the route there (such as the railway crossings), but defeat the purpose if the reason people use that route is because it is the only one that doesn't require changing vehicle between their start and finish points.

There needs to be more routes that go straight through the city on say Wakefield Rd towards the airport, only making a few stops.

That would be a waste of time, buses etc as we already have J!,J1A,J2 and J1X providing more than adequate services to and from the Airport without there being much demand for public buses.
With very few International flights over next few months or more plus Qantas(60%) and Virgin(50%) and similar cut backs for Jetstar and Tiger ,there will be very little demand for these services.
In fact I would go as far as to say the J1X service should be suspended during this time.

Maybe we can make a Google Mymap to speculate how this is going to look like?

Great idea.....if you have the time and the skills.

Also some routes look new, with destinations but no exact pathway.

Lots of routes will disappear. Other routes will be dramatically changed. Also quite a few through routing changes. Total new Route numbers for majority of routes.

Thats not surprising that on-demand bus services are increasing in Adelaide.

Given large amounts of the Adelaide metropolitan area is really low density I think we will see more in the future.

And I have a question for those in the industry/or more knowledgeable than me.......How does Adelaide Metro the destinations of passengers? given that Metro Card is merely an indication of entering the transport system, with no electronic destination data?

Off course a tap on/ tap off system would provide the information instantly.

They engage private companies to survey the people on the bus about their start and end destinations. I've seen them once or twice in the last few years, including during the tender process.
