The ACC should come and have a look. Then maybe finish Victoria Square.

Is there really no alternative to unsightly poles with lights fixed to the top of them being used in 2022?

Are those umbrella sculptures permanent ?
Because they look hideous.

Why thank Walker? We're paying for it.

Exactly. Nothing to thank Walker for - he should be thanking us if anything.

The Umbrella structures should be much larger. Equivalent or larger then the ones in Singapore.

They’re actually to scale for the site, and are all about providing shade and colour. The Singapore version (or similar) would look magic in Victoria Square.

I agree re: scale in Festival Plaza. The space is not as expansive as it once was and it will be increasingly dominated by larger elements. I don't wish to see them replicated in Vic Square though; only that the TCL masterplan is finally implemented.Honey of a City wrote: ↑Fri Mar 04, 2022 6:13 pmThey’re actually to scale for the site, and are all about providing shade and colour. A quick photo from today. This is a fast moving site - the new concrete pump is behind the lift core
