It's excellent it really is (well, apart from the wonky paving). Adelaide is starting to come to life a little bit, especially with all the colour change lighting at night.

Festival season finished last weekend and I don't recall seeing it on once. Glad to have confirmation it's at least still functioning!

No, it hasn't worked in quite a while now. I'd estimate at least 1-2 years. Definitely hasn't been on over the Fringe period.
I saw a lot of people in high vis working in under the bridge last week and thought they might have been working on the water feature. Seems to have been the case. Hopefully they'll turn their attention to the one by the stairs on the opposite bank next.

More than that, it's been off since around the 2018 election — so five years.Llessur2002 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 2:01 pmNo, it hasn't worked in quite a while now. I'd estimate at least 1-2 years. Definitely hasn't been on over the Fringe period.

Still running Wed 6:45am...
I did notice it last Friday evening, so let's hope it stays that way.
Some guys working on the bridge reeling this morning, not sure what they were doing (fixing light strips, prep Deco, etc)

Anyone still in State government who was involved in initially pushing for the bridge?

Maybe I've never noticed before, but close to pedestrian crossing there seems to be some large concrete cylinder almost looks like a precast stormwater pipe laid upright. Earlier in the week that spot was fenced off and there were workers in there.
Hopefully its not permanent..

At the southern end of the footbridge, new landscaping and plantings were being installed today. The creek / waterfall thingy next to the stairs down to the Torrens was working for the first time in ages. I reckon all this is to make a good impression for the upcoming Gather round.

Of course that's why.Uncle Monty wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 7:39 pmAt the southern end of the footbridge, new landscaping and plantings were being installed today. Theyre installing a temporary flying fox across the river as well, the area in general will be a fan activation zone. So the state government considering it out bid other states is wanting to make the best impression possible as the nations eyes will be on us for a whole week.

Good! I hope they up cleaning shifts around North Terrace / Hindley too, as it's always covered with litter.Uncle Monty wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 7:39 pmAt the southern end of the footbridge, new landscaping and plantings were being installed today.
