I wouldn't be surprised if this is another Perthian's idea of a joke.

Agreed. As someone pointed out on that thread it is probabaly a 14.1m, 3.9 floor proposal. It would have taken all of one minute for the person who started the thread to provide a link even if they were in a rush. Very suspect.

Dodgy.

The ACC is still embarassed by The Gateway tower (Optus) being so standoutishly obvious on it's own, why would they let a 140 odd metre tower go near it and totally fuck up their "ideal Pyramid shape to the skyline."

Business trip to sydney? If the newbys on SSC are anything to go by (12 y-o kids) , more like a after school camp to Victor.

My thoughts exactly. Definately not on that end of town.

Plus if he's on a business trip to sydney they why did I see him on this very forum last night?

I think it's best the mod's get ready to delete that thread... and ban him.

He's full of shit. His IP address for his "laptop in Sydney" is in Adelaide.

If you were ever looking for a reason why we frequent that place less and less, there it is.

Adam, just close that thread and fuck it off.

Yeah, another reason why this place is far better than SSC. People here have a few brain cells to rub together, and don't post things like "Why can't it be 500m tall!?!?!?." Anyone who causes trouble is banned, rather than having any complaints against them lost in a sea of red tape.

SSC is a great place, but it's too big for its own good. Small cities like Adelaide that don't see as much action are lost in the swarm.

i'll admit, i am a bit gullable.

until today, i had confused gilles street with pirie street  lol

but seriously, if its was just a stupid prank, you'd think that he'd make it a bit more believable, wouldn't you?

Shit, what are the kids on SSC going to say when they see the rest of the towers from Woods Bagot for City Central? Me thinks it'll be "they're ok, but why not put all of them together and build one 230m tower?", or some shit like that.
My contact at WB said she thought some of the designs that are flying around for the site are mind blowing, with features never seen before in Adelaide. Of course if they are not 1000m tall, the majority of Adelaide members on SSC will never see the merit of them.

Actually, the thing that's got my attention lately it that big fat screen that's proposed on City Cross. I wouldn't mind more development along that line as well because it also adds to the vibrancy of the city. What will be totally sweet is a big fat screen on top of a big fat (new) building! :D
