I was really impressed - it's a nice looking building but especially in the evening sun.

If I was some sort of absolute monarch, I would definitely have blocked building this thing because I don't think the Festival Plaza right next to two heritage buildings should be clogged up by a modern office building. But since it's been built and it's definitely not my decision, I'm glad that it looks good. I think it's one of the best-looking office buildings in Adelaide.

If they build another tower, I hope it's not stuck in a weird-looking place. Colonel Light's vision was for a spacious, planned city, not a place where we just throw a building wherever it fits.
George Kingston's vision.

Brief mention of the second tower in this Indaily piece (I'm not posting here to support their ad revenue): https://indaily.com.au/news/insider/202 ... naysayers/

What kind of broke, desperate state sells out by having the views of its heritage parliament blocked by an office building? I hope the second tower is nice, but I'm not sure how it can be fit in that space without looking ridiculous. One is enough.

Don't be surprised to see this become the new 'State Admin Centre' if/when it's built. And yes, any building built here would should be of excellent design quality and build while still showing off Parliament House.

It definitely makes Adelaide look like a decent-sized city rather than a small one when viewed from the riverbank.

A similar shot from 18 October (for some reason the website insists on rotating it even though it's the right way up on my phone):
