Howie i have noticed many people have not contributed and the fact is many may not be aware of what you are trying to achieve in the way of asking we all help. Many forumers have their favourite topics of discussion and may not even take notice of the front page or the 'website related' section. Many may just view the CBD development section and leave. How about you post a sticky in all areas of discussion and see if we reach the 2 year target sooner.
Once the target is achieved you can always remove the sticky threads...

I just made a donation but I can't figure out how to Send the private message even after following the link? This may sound stupid but can someone tell me where the Send button is once you've written it??? Thanks...

sending a PM is completely separate to donating. Find a recent post on S-A from howie, click his name, click "send a personal message", type your message, click submit - done.
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Lol @ idea of government funding this site - it's just a virtual forum, not a community facility that physically exists. Might as well have them fund SSC, Railpage SA forum, RailSA, Bus Australia, Squeekazoid's Sightings Forum, etc too
. Nice try
I'd give 10c if there was a physical donation box. I hate paying for stuff over teh internet.
The Gold Coast - Australia's centre for insipid, tacky & boring.

It's a free site, run by people who love the city and want to see it prosper. We're not a money making venture, we are about keeping this site alive and performing up to standard though, if that means everyone who can afford to chip in - does so - it benefits the community as a whole.

If you're able to post, and you've got the green "congrats" message on the front page of
www.sensational-adelaide.com then you don't need to! Your ISP has already picked up. Btw, noticed the speed improvements yet?

I ended up on the wrong server, but I added the text to the Hosts file and am on the new server now.
I get fatal errors when I try to post in the Desal Plant topic... I get this message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1245184 bytes) in /home/adelaide/public_html/forum/includes/utf/data/utf_compatibility_decomp.php on line 2
