Does anyone know whether the east building reaches the side road as in this diagram?

What you're seeing in shot one is the complete precinct, shot two is what the completed site will look like until tower two commences. Tower 2 is a hotel which hasn't been slated for commencement yet, I believe that they haven't finalised an operator as yet. In shot two it looks as though the space for tower 2 will remain a park until construction commences.

I think the underground car park for this development extends across the whole site. The vehicle entrance is going to be at the rear, in Flinders Lane, in an already constructed entrance, through the ground floor of the existing Zen apartments on the Western side. I would have thought they would have to excavate the whole site at the same time for the underground car park, even if they do not actually complete the Eastern tower at this time.

Am I the only one who is seeing the discrepancies above?

In the first image sketch, Tower 1 has communal decks highlighted in orange. There's five along the side of the building and one large one near the top.
In the render the large one near the top is visible, but then I only count three along the side of the building.
And except for the first one near the ground floor, they don't match up to the location in the sketch image one.

Old sketch, newer render with updated design?

I think those pictures have come out of Possums Pages from the Sunday Mail. Spot the Difference.

You've done well, little grasshopper.

Okay. I got confused thinking that the East tower was part of this build about to commence. So only Tower 1 initially.

As exciting as this development is I think we will find that the land for Tower 2 (taller tower) will be sold off with DA before it gets developed - if ever.

Why would you suspect that? The developer Guava Lime has shown incredible commitment to creating a precinct on Flinders, smoothly moving from one project to the next. We've every reason to expect the same for Tower 2.

Another picture from today 16/8/17. They are digging down about 1/2 a floor level staring from the western side next to the existing 'Art' Building.

I didn't, there is a secret laneway next to Zen apartments and you can look over the fence :)
