Re: News & Discussion: Active Transport
Guys, Unley already has bike streets. The Rugby-Porter bikeway is specifically mentioned as an alternative to Unley Road. Not that there's not NIMBYs around in Unley, but it actually has some of the better cycling routes. As concerns Unley Road, it's the same problem as for Goodwood, Glen Osmond and...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
It's odd that they seem to have gone out of their way to not show how access to the depot will be handled. It's cropped out of every render and the video, and no mention is made of it in either the press release or the project website. Yes, curious. I wonder if they're keeping their powder dry for ...

Re: Crane Counter: CBD 7 | Metro 8 | Total 15
Yes there are 2 cranes going up in Kent Town both of which are visible from North Tce city. 1 Favco crane at 9-11 Dequettiville Tce Kent Town and 2. a Hamer head crane at 54 rundle Rd at the corner of Rundle Rd and Norwood Pde. I am not sure what is being build here as there is no sign on the site ...

From realestate.com: From memory, this is the first time I've seen an image of the updated lower level design. https://i1.au.reastatic.net/1896x920-resize,extend,r=33,g=40,b=46-quality=60,progressive/421d649438669606e1991136a12fc837fda0cda3327d51c156c045f8aa8f6469/image0.jpg There's a video flythro...

Francis Street with patterned bitumen. Still think it would have been far nicer paved. Click on image for bigger. https://i.postimg.cc/87vRcyZx/20240705-171027.jpg Oh that's... not what was promised. Obviously, this one is due to cost and it's a minor lane, but I really wish this city strove to del...

Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands
Not complaining about the development (although i think many road users would) But what about finishing Vic Square. Any works on Light Square are still about 5 years away, but there's an added impetus because of the influx of residents in the vicinity. The city should be an attractive place to live...

Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands
Hindmarsh Square is probably the only one of our major CBD squares meeting some of its potential in its current form (but it still could be even better). Meanwhile, Hurtle Square, Victoria Square and Light Square are all hindered by the road networks around them. Road users will complain but Victor...

Not saying the development is not welcome but one of the largest parts of it will be a 500 space multideck carpark.ChillyPhilly wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 4:34 pmA fantastic vision. Let's hope it happens. There is so much space wasted on cars in central Salisbury.

[COM] Re: Coles Norwood Redevelopment | 8 Lvls
We do need more shoptop development, but I have to say this one looks cheap. The 'sky terrace' looks pretty dismal, and the shopping centre hasn't really improved on what was there before.
