The front shot looks like a big green garden bug, with antennae for mirrors.

[COM] Re: Bakewell Underpass Project - Updates
Lots of work happening at the Currie Street / Glover Avenue and West Terrace intersection. They seem to be doing some changes to the lanes, etc. hopefully for the better. It'd be nice to know in detail, what they're doing. I was there yesterday after riding the H Class from Glenelg, & from what...

Re: General CBD Development
i love the curved facade of that building. From memory, that was Clarksons (glass) showroom & offices, & was a steel & glass box that was refurbished in the early 1980's with the complementary building to the east being built around the same time. The refurb was an improvement on the or...

Re: Glenelg Tram Line Upgrade
I thought this. It'd be nice if they reinstalled them in the Railway Station too. Were they removed because of security concerns? If so, that's a rather paranoid action. They were removed because of security concerns, and every time I want to use a bin I am reminded of a certain religion and some o...

Some more pics from Saturday, mainly paving in Henley Bch Rd and Glover Avenue, starting at http://www.xaragmata.thebbs.org/album/current/slides/henley38.html The major stuff is complete, with opening due in early January, according to Pat Conlon on radio last week. The intention in October 2006 was...

[COM] Re: Port River Expressway (Stage One Complete)
Part of the road bridge bascule span has been installed in the last day or so, while I wasn't there. HMAS Adelaide was visible in Dock 2 (near the cranes) and is open for inspection on Sunday.

[COM] Re: South Road Upgrade
The South Road works at this stage is extensive. I have noticed something though - in the plans there is a lot of room between the underpass itself and the slip lanes that feed into South Road. Now, when the oppurtunity arises I think this is land reserved for widening of South Road to 3, even 4 la...

[COM] Re: Bakewell Underpass Project - Updates
I noticed today that they've now closed off the Currie Street end of Glover Avenue completely. i.e. no parking, no entry at all. I hope they're doing that so that they can prepare and re-seal that whole section, that'd be nice. Then all that needs to happen is for some work to be done on improving ...

I found the time-line of events that will occur for the underpass from http://www.adelaideconnect.com.au [...] So basically by mid 2009 we can use the underpass....and by end of 2009 it will be fully done. Thanks for the link, and the notice is in today's Advertiser, p54, with Anzac Highway diverte...

i vaguely remember the eatery in the basement of gallerie. did it have mainly asian food outlets? many of the arcades surrounding the mall do need upgrades though. especially the one by maccas, southern cross, renaissance and id love to see the gallerie renovated. Also does anyone know any details of the old Galeria shopping centre. I liked the Gallerie, as it had a basement eatery, and connected to John Martin's basement, & in turn to the arcades to Pulteney Street. I would prefer to have "internal" basement pedestrian connections between KWS ...
