Solution: more wine and an increased tendency to slur 'stuff it' and pay for a taxi.

Parking is also worth $0, and that's all I've ever paid for it! If people are willing to pay for these things, there will always be people willing to charge them. My bet is people will pay for parking at Westfield, so Westfield will happily let them. If on the other hand nobody paid, Westfield woul...

The all-white Caparezza? I've been there a few times already. Really nice guys, good coffee, and amazing pastries.jk1237 wrote:I like the look of a new little New York style Espresso bar thats just opened in James Pl (former STA travel shop). Its already a popular spot. Will try a coffee next week

He said he was embarrassed the bridge remained unnamed, “because it makes people think the council does not follow things through. “I know the council is professional and dots the i’s and crosses the t’s but this gives the perception that we don’t.” Oh God help us. I can just imagine the sort of pi...

I still don't see the problem. A private business seeks money in exchange for use of their property. What a non-event.

Re: ## General Public Transport thread
I sat in Victoria Square from 6:30 until 7:15 for a bus that was due at 6:37. Eventually it was discovered by the (very kind and helpful) driver of the bus I gave in and caught in desperation that that particular run happens to be on a shift change, and inevitably gets delayed at the depot whilst th...

Re: #UC : World Trade Centre Site
Ben, good article from The Australian. Thanks for posting. To my mind, 'height to roof' is the most meaningful measurement -- spires and antennae are just 'artificial' height. Using height to roof, 1WTC will become the 9th-tallest building in the world. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World%27s_talles...

Re: #UC : World Trade Centre Site
My only regret with this building is that it doesn't have a twin. The original WTC was one of the most instantly-recognisable, powerful symbols of New York City, and at the core of that symbolism was its dominating presence. A single bulding just doesn't quite cut it for me; not with the memory of w...

Hey Omi, to share a nearmap link you must 'right click' on the map, choose 'share' and copy/paste that url. Seems you copy/pasted the url from the top of the page which takes me to the last map location I visited, not the one you wanted to share. Whoops, I must have been half asleep. It's that mega...

This could easily become our most expensive home, 6 stories wow :O Maybe. There's a couple of homes being built high-up in the eastern suburbs at the mo - $10m & $14m each. The owners' names elude me at present. Father & Son i believe... Yes, the On the Run chaps, if memory serves. http://w...
