[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
I found a few images of one of the earlier Darlington proposals. The early design had the trench just on the west side and few less lanes. The upcoming Torrens to Darlington section should have minimal entry and exit points, I'd go with entry/exit points at Anzac Highway and maybe Cross Road. They'...

I think the last section of this project would easily annihilate the record for the most consultations conducted without actually coming up with a plan.

Is it just me or is that a very low bridge? I can't see how a B-double or a interstate coach could fit underneath. the new bridge over Regency road is at a height that allows standard trucks and buses to pass under it. oversized loads have a pre designated route mapped out that allows them to safel...

I'm still trying to work out what the possibilities are going to be in regards to the new tunnel at cross road. a) will there be full entry/exit from the tunnel at cross road? if so will this mean the existing railway line remains at grade or will the railway line need to go above the surface roads...

So by that logic are all two lane tunnels inherently unsafe? pretty much, both lanes are hard up against a concrete wall. there's nowhere to go in an accident apart from potentially bouncing off the sides and skidding into the path of vehicles directly behind. once there's broken cars and debris al...

Now we have to hope the Libs don't butcher this and give us two tunnels that are only two lanes wide. Here's a render from the State Budget Overview. https://i.ibb.co/4VY9Jcg/delet.png From the FAQ section: “How many lanes will the tunnels be when they open to traffic? This will be determined as we...

will the tram overpass need to be modified because of the width of the motorway? will the gallipoli underpass need to be widened? it appears as if the gallipoli underpass will be extended south so it goes under where the current tram line sits. these were the first two questions that came to mind af...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
is there more layers of bitumen to go down in the trench at Darlington? when you enter the trench at the northern end when travelling south the surface has been scraped and there are large raised sections around the man hole covers of the inspection ports. doesn't look finished at all
