Re: #Article: City Tower 'Would Draw' Tourists
I went up to Mount Lofty last week and to me the observation facilities are inadequate. Too much growth on the viewing lines. http://www.mtloftysummit.com/about.htm Look at the panoramic photo at the bottom to see what a disaster it is. A proper observation deck will give the observer a complete pic...

Re: Favourite Skyscraper for Adelaide
The building has to be of such stature to be the iconic symbol for Adelaide. Something that in 70 years time is still Australia's favourite Skyscraper. That is the challenge.

Re: Favourite Skyscraper for Adelaide
Okay I will start ,,to me it is the Chrysler Building. I could look at it for hours. How could you build something in Adelaide that is , and is not the same.
Also mods pls move this thread to the Visions forum if suited.

Favourite Skyscraper for Adelaide
Just having a look at the top 100 on the Scraper site ,, so I though of a bit of fantasy
about which 'dominant' Skyscraper would you like to see built in Adelaide.
Old style like the masterpiece Chrysler Building or New Style like Shun HIng Square ?
cheers, Cam.

Re: NRL, SA entry?
I was thinking about this the other day ,, it would be a natural reaction to the AFL east coast push,, and having the Rams back up and firing will get Adelaide fully back into the east coast sporting loop.

To me if the City is the Heart then it requires big free flowing arteries to function healthily . Doof Doof Doof Doof. So why clog them with caresterol ? ;) People can be shifted about better with PT. Groan! lol. actuallly the vision for this was the possibility of driving from and to Maclaren Vale...

Re: Adelaide's saltpans make way for housing and offices
Two issues which I would like to know for this development:
1> Impact on nearby mangroves as they are vital fish breeding grounds.
2> Mosquitoes http://www.deltaenvironmental.com.au/ar ... ltwetl.htm

Re: Roads & Rail
When it comes to building a Southern Expressway from the City , smart money would have it follow the existing train line - branching down to Tonsley. Why would the smart money be on that idea? Wouldnt it be 'smarter' to make Anzac Hwy a highway to South rd to join up to the North-South freeway? Wel...

[COM] Re: #Completed : Adelaide Airport
Given currect Adelaide capacity and Schedules I can see RAAF Base Edinburgh becomming a future shared facilty with Civilian Aircraft - Esp Freight and maybe those overnight 10PM to 6AM flights. The RAAF Base in Darwin is shared with Domestic airport from memory.

Re: San Antonio style South Park River Walk
I thought the South Parklands for this because - it looks South Parklands . Being a meandering man-made water filled cement channel that caters to Business and Tourists alike which Looks damn good ,, you can build worlds around and is manageable. Drain it and give it a clean once year . Like the yea...
