RE: ...Presumably in the near future they're going to swing the lines out...
The site is just outside my front door On Sunday, railway sleepers were delivered and they were laying ballast on the northern side of the track for the diverted railway. I'll get some photos.

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
I support a city loop 100% though fyi - A great way to optimize city movements. For medium to long distance urban public transport the trams will likely be

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
I used to think the trams were a neat idea but the more I look into it I just think they are a colossal waste of coin, mainly on the basis that they won't improve on existing travel times. The outer harbor line being the perfect example - OK, the 75 minute figure seems to be ripped out of nowhere ye...

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Netw
After spending 6 months in Europe and experiencing how rail transport works here, I have to say that the state of rail transport in Adelaide is absolutely piss poor!

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
My friend lives on Euston tce near Queen st and we've talked a lot about the costs + benefits of the rail overpass. Queen st overpass no doubt be would be fugly as (limit sunlight and ruin the visual aesthetics), but we strongly doubt it would cause a disconnect to Day tce - you've still got to go t...

Re: [ City Central ] Masterplan Thread
So, if you were to come home this evening to find that someone unknown had graffiti'd your house, you would be cool with that? Who gets to decide whether it looks good or not? That's a crappy example. Bottom line: graffiti sub-culture is one of the things that makes society more interesting and vis...

Re: [ City Central ] Masterplan Thread
I hope they leave the graffiti on the side of the GPO building as it looks very urban. Sorry, I have to disagree 100% with this comment. Defacing someone else's property should NEVER be promoted, no matter how artistic it may be. If the graffiti was commissioned, then that's different. Sorry, I dis...

[COM] Re: U/C: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment | 53,500 | $545m
Jee, the glass really is half empty isn't it Shuz? :toilet: I think a northern stand is inevitable, but it's probably going to take decades until that's on the cards. At the end of the day, people don't go to AO to admire the scenery.. well, maybe some dreamers do, but the majority go there to watch...
