[U/C] Re: Burnside Village (Extension)

I went there today and was super impressed with it.

Yes there's still a lot to open however the place was packed and I think it offers something unique that Adelaide currently doesn't have.

I actually have no idea why some people seem to be so hyper critical of it, it's almost like some people ...

Can anyone confirm if Gucci have signed? Glam adl is claiming they have.

Knowing them they are using the information you posted here last week. Quite often they use information from this site which has not been verified ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I think it's legit

Where the article discusses Gucci and LV it ...

[U/C] Re: Burnside Village (Extension)

Given that the opening is now only 5 weeks away, the lack of formal announcements in regards to expansion and the new stores is concerning.

Last year there was an update every month on their website, but since December it's all gone completely silent.

You tend to get the sense that it's ...

Gucci and Prada are talking to burnside about store(s) in the new area
I'm not sure about Prada.

I've heard LV, Gucci and Celine are locked in, I guess we'll know100% once they're announced.

It's all speculation at the moment, but I've heard around the place that Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga have both signed EOIs about opening stores at Burnside.

It looks like we're starting to get some of the really high end brands finally coming to Adelaide.

Speaking of the Myer Centre clock tower, ever since that building has been built I have wondered what was in that office space that's next to the clock tower and how to access it.

There will be but they won't announce until much closer to completion.
My wife was told that Gucci is apparently going to be one of the new stores, but there's been no official announcement.

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

It's so strange that it's only one level. If I were Myer Centre I would have come to whatever leasing terms necessary to get them to also activate either LG or L1.

I agree

It's the same with H&M, I have no idea why they weren't offered the ability to have a full sized store when there was more ...

[U/C] Re: Westfield Tea Tree Plaza (Extension)

As others have already mentioned it seems like the rumours are true about Myer.

They're currently renovating their 2nd floor and I was old that once that is complete the plan is to compress their store down to three floors with Level 1 being turned into 2 new retail vacancies.

All these minor ...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

It's a shame that multi story retail arcades aren't popular in SA.

Rundle Place would be the perfect place to re-create a smaller version of The Emporium in Melbourne, they could gut the old Harris Scarffe store and turn it into 2 additional floors of stores.

Unfortunately even if they were to do ...

[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Incl. 115m Tower | $800 million

The Plaza area is an absolute joke.

What a completely missed opportunity to turn the space into something usable.

2-3 years of work and for what? some metal trees and a horrible poorly designed car park?

Embarrassing

I saw a post on Facebook that claimed that development has started at the site.

I can't confirm anything because I haven't had a chance yet to go past there to see whether it's true or not.

An interesting development

I am seeing a number of franchises listed for sale on Seek Business for The District - Parafield and both Sushi Hub and Jamica Blue have The District listed as in their store list as "coming soon".

Maybe this one might actually happen after all.

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

I noticed that Sephora is significantly smaller than the ones interstate (only around 2/3's the size of other stores)

Seems to be becoming an increasing trend in Adelaide with H&M and now Sephora (more than likely many others) opening smaller stores with smaller product lines in SA than elsewhere ...
