Re: I hope everyone is travelling well and getting through this.

Well, well, well, look at what's happened now. We have a female student at woodville high who has tested positive! With potentially 800 students now at risk I would think we are now as a community at the same level or risk as what we were this time last week. So does trigger happy Spurrier pull the ...

Re: I hope everyone is travelling well and getting through this.

Rev, medi hotel facilities are only going to be needed for another 6 months or so. It wouldn't be worth the govt spending say $100 million on a facility in the country for it to be only used for 6 months. Steve Marshmallow has announced this morning that they are going to setup a dedicated facility ...

Re: I hope everyone is travelling well and getting through this.

So, the plot thickens. After Spurrier said yesterday morning she is putting champagne on ice, she then revealed in the afternoon that two people in quarantine at Peppers acquired Covid19 at the hotel. There's some very serious issues and protocol breaches at the medi hotels. And spurrier needs to le...

[U/C] Re: 269 North Terrace | 118m | 36 Levels | Student accommodation

We have to thank the doctor who decided to test a lady who presented at Emergency instead of to a COVID test station. We could be in a lot worse situation if it had gone another day or two before the first detection. It is beyond my comprehension why this Doctor has suddenly become a hero just beca...

The building companies such as Synergy must be disappointed with this unnecessary lockdown. Three stagnant days where the site bleeds money paying for equipment which it leases. The 2022 election cannot come quickly enough.

Re: I hope everyone is travelling well and getting through this.

The standards at the medi hotels have been very poor. Recently, as part of my work I received a delivery with the destination being the Pullman hotel where people were quarantining. Upon arriving at the hotel I waited at the entrance of the hotel. Amazingly, the staff inside the hotel directed me to...

Re: Petrol Station Owners

Does anyone else feel like we have way too many petrol stations these days? I mean, competition is great, but the market surely is saturated now. Thankfully the new X Convenience on the corner of Miller Street and Diagonal Road was knocked back at the CAP meeting last night, thanks to a very vocal ...

Marshall spending money on thebarton oval, hindmarsh stadium and memorial drive is rubbing salt into the wound of those who like the Adelaide 500.

It seems Marshall has money for everything else besides the Adelaide 500.

Re Intercontinental, I totally agree. I don’t know if the cost of this would be realistic but glazing over the building in a similar quality glass as the Casino would be very sleek. It has an interesting shape, it just needs a facelift. Are you going to pay for it ?? Do you have any idea how much t...

The liberal government have made a big mistake here. Only hope now is that labor get voted In at the 2022 election and bring the event back.

[U/C] Re: SkyCity Adelaide Casino Expansion | 55m | 12 Levels | Hotel

Australia's first 'legal' casino was in Hobart in '73. Darwin got theirs in '79. Melbourne got Crown in '94. Don't know about the rest. Fun fact - never been in one. I remember in the early days of the adelaide casino there was a formal dress code, with jeans, sneakers and t-shirts not acceptable. ...

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

2000 jobs is an impressive figure. We had a labor government for about 10 years and they were never able to lure big companies to setup in adelaide.
