Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

I’m very curious on how they would electrify the section that goes through Royal Adelaide Golf Club. This would be a nightmare for so many reasons. The members can have a whiparound and pay for a tunnel, such a show of good community spirit will save them a bunch of annual lobbying money they spend...

Re: Riverlea (Buckland Park) | 12,000 dwellings | $3b

Just got an update from Riverlea, latest land release sold out in 10 minutes. Against the opinion of many on here, this estate is extremely popular. Looks like every release gets sold out. https://www.riverlea.com.au/for-sale/ Who said it wouldn't be popular? Indeed many of the big issues are ones ...

Not sure if previously mentioned, but Coles closes in March next year.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Commit to electrifying Outer Harbor now. We should also be aiming to convert the bus fleet to fully electric by 2030 - aside our emissions reduction goals, just imagine how much more pleasant city streets will be without noisy and noxious diesel buses. I’m very curious on how they would electrify t...

[U/C] Re: [U/C] Re: Festival Plaza Redevelopment | $800 million

Just an observation - the new underground carpark entry off King William is a bit of an eyesore. Hopefully completion of the project can nullify this a bit. It's also a dogs breakfast whenever the carpark is at near capacity, which it has been quite a few times since opening, very congested at the ...

Re: Adelaide Oval Expansion

Any argument to build a northern stand is rubbish.

Any argument that Adelaide Oval is incomplete is rubbish.

Any argument that events don't come here because of the above is rubbish.

Re: Adelaide Oval Expansion

Perth Oval is quite overrated. It's nothing special, and won't age well. It's literally just...a stadium. No links to or honouring of the past. Adelaide Oval brought massively restored confidence and pride to people of Adelaide and South Australia. It also showed that it IS possible to retain herita...

[PRO] Re: [PRO] Re: New Womens and Childrens Hospital

This is precisely the example of slippery slope development in the parklands that concerns so many people. This new WCH has been so poorly planned that not only is taking over recently landscaped gardens it now also needs extra land for a fucking carpark. It's just another indication that it's bein...

A costly mistake to not remove the two doglegs, as discussed. While this an improvement over current circumstances, it's a half-assed Liberal project.
