Re: News & Discussion: Other Metropolitan Developments

I had a quick review of planning reports and other documents for the Hackham Code Amendment following an engagement period. In terms of transport, it seems there will be no provision of a reserve for a southward extension of the Southern Expressway (it seems anything close to this would go west of e...

[VIS] Re: New Womens and Childrens Hospital

To call this “parklands” is an absolute joke. Dead grass and under utilised space. When was the last time anyone actually stepped foot in this area? If you are going to make this parklands well look after it and develop the area if not step aside and let someone develop the area. The whole eastern ...

Tenants moving in in July.

It seems that this building won't be large enough to accommodate all the different teams and departments that were planned to occupy it.

Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands

Just walked around the Karen Rolston oval and the several ovals located between there and the rail line. The grounds are terrific and are being prepared for several cricket games. Also, there are new irrigated garden areas (some installed by Rotary), with seating and BBQs between the new skate park...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Two people struck by trains in two days.

Yesterday's incident was at Evanston, and today's at East Grange.

Hoping both people will be okay.

Re: News & Developments: Other Suburban Retail

To add to the above, Bunnings may also be taking the Gepps Cross drive-in site (of which yesterday was its final day as a Sunday market).

This might not be news to others, but it's the first whisper I have heard of it.

Optus Stadium shits on Adelaide Oval. You have to take your head out of the Torrens to see things for how they are. I've been to Optus Stadium. Not bad, but it won't stand the test of time. Adelaide Oval has a sense of class, time, connection and character that Optus does not. For these reasons, AO...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

Yes to Aldinga and the Sellicks Beach corridor. No to Concordia extension Yes to a proper Gawler bus interchange to service Gawler and the Barossa Valley. Interested to find out why you're saying no to a Concordia extension. Why should Concordia get a train station? Is it justified? Train extension...

Re: News & Developments: Other Suburban Retail

Bunnings want to build a new store on Marion Road, immediately north of the Southern Expressway. Personally, I would have thought expanding the green area to the north would make more sense to absorb car fumes and noise, rather than a hulking warehouse with hulking carpark when there is already one...
