Re: #Official Defence Thread
I'm not sure whether anyone else has seen the new Maritime Combat System Integration Centre (MCSIC) at St Kilda recently? This is an enormous building where they will be integrating full combat system suites prior to being installed onto the ships. It has just been completed and, when at full capabi...

Re: #Official Defence Thread
I see two carparks in that render - one of them looking like a multi-storey carpark. Would like to see the state government consider converting the rail line for commuter trains also. Consider there will be 4000+ workers at this site alone (along with the 2000+ for Hunter) for a 20+year timeframe, I...

Re: #Official Defence Thread
I'll be interested to see if the government decides to build extra Hobart-class destroyers as Navantia is pitching to keep the workforce going. From what I have heard, there were around 100 recommendations in the DSR. How much budget is left to implement these is the next question... I would say th...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

And I've noticed that since the incident there is quite often a police patrol car sitting next to it, sometimes with up to 4 people inside, presumably monitorin...

Re: News & Discussion: Other Metropolitan Developments
I haven't worked in the CBD for the near 15 years. I currently work in Port Adelaide, with three sets of traffic lights between my house and work. I would gladly take the train, however I am not catching a train to Central then change for Port Adelaide and walk a fair distance from the PA station to...

While workers have stood down for the Christmas break, they did open the turning lanes onto Churchill Road before they walked off.
The playground was also open as well.
The area under the bridge looks fantastic!

Anyone know what the camo painted hut is at the station?
I thought it was temporary but it is now a permanent feature of the station

I remember my old man telling me that the couple of times he worked in that building, he noticed that they piped in ambient noise (conversations and street noise) throughout the building because it is so silent.
