I figured that's why hammerheads were used on Realm, Adelaidean, Sofitel and 119NT.
You forget that when the State Bank building was built they used Favcos.

Re: Cheap Airport O-Bahn

The idea of just diverting water to drains in nearby streets suggests you haven't seen just how much water flows through that creek when it gets flowing after heavy rain. That's one suggestion out of several. At present you are talking about a 1-in-a-100 year flood situation as you'll probably know...

Here's some options I drew up a while ago for light rail... https://i.postimg.cc/fLsWqYFS/Keswick-Creek-Drain-Light-Rail-Options-3.png From left to right... 1. Above the drain 2. In the drain with water from drain diverted in new drains in adjoining streets. 3. In the drain with water piped in new e...

Has there been any provisions made for privacy for the Southern side of this building, or does that not happen when two multi-story building are constructed right next to each other?
Besides blinds or curtains what kind of privacy provisions were you thinking of? Not a blank wall I hope.

[APP] Re: 75-79 King William Street | 124m | 36 Levels | Hotel

Why does a hotel need to have bicycle parking spots reserved for guests? Thus is surely a bizarre idea, a tourist who wanted to bicycle somewhere would ask the concierge "Where can I hire a bicycle for a day?' No-one expects to find permanent bicycle parks at a hotel, maybe some for the staff ...

No Ho. It's not that we find this place boring or backward, we know Adelaide's potential and settling for rubbish developments are whats holding this awesome city back. Welcome Curls, I for one am glad you are on this forum. There are a few loose cannons on this forum, you'll figure out who. Hi Tou...

1NEEDS2POST not sure if you received a private message sent to you back on November 22, 2020. Did some quick concept drawings (cross sections) of light rail to the airport using the Keswick Creek drain, which I've been advocating for many years. This would fit into a wider metro plan of rail upgrad...

[...] If you were an Altitude apartment owner, you probably would've preferred the previous design in retrospect given this new one will now block views to the south. But community space is a much better outcome of the new one. In fact a few residents protested their disapproval on 7News tonight. T...

For those that don't understand what quarantine means. Here's a short explanation on when and where the term "quarantine" was first used and why. The quote is from the CDC, USA. The practice of quarantine, as we know it, began during the 14th century in an effort to protect coastal cities ...

Imagine the average South Australian faced with what the ancients were faced with, temples for exmaple destroyed multiple times and rebuilt. These clowns wouldn't have lasted a day, they'd have packed it in before the last ember went out.

[U/C] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

Disappointing. Adelaide has this fixation about heritage where it is not needed. Adelaide Oval and now Memorial Drive. They could've easily developed this into a nice arena if they had lowered the centre court and encircled it with tiered stands under an enclosed roof. The ancient Romans knew how to...
