Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
There's some good news for those hoping to see Cathay Pacific back in Adelaide in the not too distant future. The airline has just reported its highest annual profit since 2010, HK$9.8bn (US$1.3bn), breaking a three-year streak of losses including a HK$6.6bn loss in 2022. This all due to strong flig...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
Saltwater, my bad, it should say January 2025 not March 2024. I've corrected it. So it still will be thrice weekly unless they decide to go to four, five or daily for SQ276/SQ277 after January 2025.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
[...] This doesn't bode well for anyone (i.e. Qantas) starting an Adelaide - Singapore service anytime soon, especially when SIA are increasing to 2 x daily permanently next year. From 27 OCT SIA will be operating SQ276/SQ277 thrice weekly (SUN, WED and FRI) not daily. You can check their schedule ...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
I might be wrong (probably am), but I thought it only arrived at 1830 or thereabouts, as I was at the Bonython Park tram stop when it went over. SQ277 was delayed at Changi (departing at 08:57) and subsequently arrived here late at 17:45. https://i.postimg.cc/KYZqD1xV/temp-Image-GYEi-Ad.jpg In the ...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
Anyone know why SQ276's departure was delayed over three hours Sunday (last night). Time of departure is normally (scheduled) at 18:35. Pushback happened at approximately 19:05. After pilots routine checks on tarmac they swing back to gate at approximately 19:13. Was there some technical problem? ht...

Do we know its a 35 level building going up next door? Nothing has been lodged or announced. Perhaps AAA is in the know... According to Principal’s Project Requirements tower 2 is planned to be a 35-storey building ...and if it is you'll probably be looking at our second tallest or temporary talles...

It is a very nice concept. Unfortunately, if they ever go underground, they'll probably avoid tunneling under the Torrens. why? Its only about 3 feet deep if you ever seen it drained not that we'll ever see an underground line anywhere in Adelaide in our lifetimes Sure but how much water is underne...

This is a failure by governments. Everything that's done is looked at/approached as stand alone. There is no thought beyond that project, that piece of roadway. How many times do you see brand new roads, or footpaths, ripped up? Too often in this state. ... Can you provide instances of brand new ro...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
In reference to the plans you posted, it's unclear to me whether the blue line is below or above ground... See this version the orange line runs above ground. This one is similar to the one advocated by the lobby group. It goes underground (under the Keswick creek drain) or just under street level....
