Re: Adelaide to get 7-Elevens

On The Run have not 'taken over' any BPs. They have an agreement with BP to sell their fuel and use their branding. There are some On The Runs which do not have any BP branding on them and only have a sort of beige and red colour scheme, I believe there is one near Munno Para on Main North Road like...

Re: #PRO: City Busway - O-Bahn to West Tce

I have a key interest in a business on hackney road and some guys came in to do a survey about the extension and impacts to the business about 4 weeks ago.

Re: Adelaide 2.0 - TOD town?

How much money do we spend on simple things like pipes, electricity and roads to service new suburbs? council revenues can be increased via higher densities giving more money to spend on the nice things rather than the boring basics. I would love to see some comparisons on the cost of services/utili...

Re: Desalination plant for Adelaide

Anyone got any photos of the works going on here.?

there is a tower crane on site and at least one other crane, plus an offshore platform as well.

drove up the lonsdale highway today and it looks as though much of the pipe laying is complete, but I had no camera on me unfortunately.

so who is going to walk out to the far north west of the city to go to this 'riverside precinct' when there are no games on?

this is a joke, and a pure vote grabbing exercise. I am not swayed either way at the moment by the proposals that have been put forward

I am hoping the newly installed, very permanent looking traffic lights that have just been installed under the new bridge are only there until the tram starts going over the top....

Re: Those street cigarette ashtray bins - always on fire!

the government has introduced legislation as of March next year that cigarettes will be more likely to go out when left unattended. They have changed the paper so that if someone is not continually sucking on it, it will go out.

That might help...

Re: Is Adelaide's weather becoming like Melbourne's?

I agree, but I also recall pondering this 20 years ago when i used to analyse all my father's rainfall data from Woodside in the Hills (I was 10 years old) The data showed that March was the driest month and the wet period seemed to keep up till October. we also had a patch in the early-mid 90s when...

Re: Student Accomodation in the CBD

why should we be limiting what people can live in? for an individual who is a student and goes out a lot etc, they may just want somewhere to eat and shit (so 2 rooms  ) search interstate and look at the options available, some at ridiculous prices. at least it is on offer though, you can also...

Fair bit of activity on the site now.
Piling machine, excavator etc, and all kinds of materials being brought in.
Does this one get a crane at all? Seems high enough to need one.

It is called MyBrute and you basically have a little created character that goes and fights other little characters. you have no control of the fighting, but it is funny how addictive it is!

BTW if you get the chance,go and have a meal at the Tiv too.
Meals were quite cheap and I had the best kangaroo I have ever tasted (and I have tasted a lot of kangaroo!)
all 15 of the other people we had there said the meals were excellent too.
