Re: My Light Rail Vision - Getting On The Right Track
Can you please give me more details as to why you think a tram cant fit along Magill Road, because i have had a look myself and i suggest with some widening of the road there should be enough room the fit a tram stop with platform nicely in to place along the median strip/middle of the road. The ot...

Re: My Light Rail Vision - Getting On The Right Track
'Tis not worth doing if you only plan to run the trams every fifteen minutes. To get the demand for higher frequencies you'd need to discontinue the bus routes on those roads. This may require more tram stops. And North Terrace (Kent Town) can be very busy - are you sure you want the trams to go th...

Re: #U/C: Main South Rd / Victor Harbor Rd Intersection Upgrade
The existing arrangements are insufficient for the capacity. Traffic lights should've been installed ten or more years ago, and we should be replacing them with an overpass now. But slow progress is better than no progress. There seems to have been quite a spate of traffic light installation in the...

My Adelaide Light Rail Vision
Adelaide once had one of the biggest network of tramlines in Australia, however since the late 20th century all lines (except Glenelg Line) were ripped up and replaced with buses which have less capacity, are slow getting through traffic especially during peak periods and are seen as unattractive. B...

Re: Public Transport boost pledged by ALP
No matter who is State Government i would like to see Adelaide Metro bus services extended to the Gawler area because it would encourage people to leave their cars and catch the bus to do their daily tasks i.e. school, work, shopping and health services and give the people without a car a better and...

Re: State Election 2010
“Light rail is always a better option in urban areas where frequent stopping is involved. The fuel efficiencies are not there for heavy rail in this regard, and some of our heavy rail services in metropolitan Adelaide would be better served by light rail.” Senator for Greens Mark Parnell did not of...

South East Busway
There are no plans to electrify the Belair Train Line it also suffers from infrequent, slow, indirect and low patronage thus disencouraging people to use the public transport corridor and not value for money for South Australians. A grade separated busway i think would be a good alternative because ...

Who went to the Skyshow? I know i did, great concert, atmosphere, appeared alot more people attended than the previous Skyshow held at Bonython Park. The night ended with two firework displays at the same time. I think it was a good move to held it in March, hope it returns in 2011.

[COM] Re: #PRO: Southern Expressway duplication | $445m | 22km
For the cost of the duplication of the Southern Expressway we could build a new O-Bahn from the City to Old Reynella or extend the existing Tonsley Line to Old Reynella. Which would attract many people to use public transport thus reducing traffic along parts of South Road.
