Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Network
Maybe there could be a way to get the freight line to run parallel with Brown Hill Creek from Mitcham station to Mount Lofty station. 3 or 4 tunnels may be required to do so, so maybe the Premier could talk to Elon Musk about getting the Boring Company involved. A new passenger line could be run wit...

Re: Rename a suburb
Rename Morphett Vale so that it no longer sounds like Morphettville. Area between South, Bains, States & Wheatsheaf Roads could be Thrushgrove. Area by South, Wheatsheaf, States and Doctors Roads could be Wirreanda. I think using the old railway stations in the area for names could work. The ar...

It does look good. Another to add would be the Calvary Hospital on the corner of Angus & Pulteney.

[COM] Re: [PRO] Her Majesty’s Theatre Expansion
Anyone know if there will be more lifts in the new building? In the renders it seems to have another four storeys of stairs with many attendees the elderly (and is this further to the existing four storeys of stairs?). I think in the last of the images above, there are new lifts in the dark grey bo...

Re: The Federal Politics Thread
There seems to be a correlation (not necessarily causation) between Reagan's presidency and the 80's stock market crash, and Bush's presidency and the GFC.

[COM] Re: Channel 9 site Tynte St North Adelaide
It seems it's up on the yoursay website: http://yoursay.adelaidecitycouncil.com/former-channel-9-site There was also another one last year for several other sites across North Adelaide also proposing up to 6 levels. The Archer West one in particular was for a very large section on the south east cor...

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Netw
On the plan Its a concept design , not a plan. Its intention is to give the tenderers and the public a very, very rough idea what the department had in mind, without spending too much time or effort on detail. There is typically a far more extensive process to follow before reaching a detailed desi...

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Netw
I am in favour of taking the bicycle path over the tracks and building a tram station for connection to Glenelg. Without them, Goodwood is almost useless and a waste of stopping time, though the long steep stairs that appear on the concept drawing would be as bad as the present subway/ramp access u...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
The tram could be extended as Shuz says and then down Manton Street, Grange Road, Crittenden Road, Findon Road & Trimmer Parade to join with the existing Grange line. Connecting to West Lakes Blvd would either have to be Tapleys Hill Road or Todville Street. Not sure how feasible any of this is ...

There's a Development Plan Amendment up for discussion on the Council's Yoursay site covering a large area of North Adelaide. http://yoursay.adelaidecitycouncil.com/north-adelaide-DPA It covers a number of the large institutions including Helping Hand Aged Care, Calvary, Women's and Children's &...

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
A number of the houses along South Road between Sturt & Shepherds Hill Roads have been demolished along the southern side and a few on the northern side by the Sturt Road intersection to the car dealership have site fencing up with Royal Park Salvage signage on it.
