Re: New City Arena

I'm less against this proposal because of spending priorities or the validity of the business case than because I doubt it is the most valuable (environmentally, socially, economically) use of location. If built, we lose both what's currently there and the opportunity for other things. In my opinio...

Invest in public transport. How does public transport stop traffic backing up into the tunnel when it leaves it and immediately hits traffic lights? Again, I'm fully on board with the idea we should be spending a magnitude more on public transport infrastructure, but the completion of the North-Sou...

Re: New City Arena

The question of what would be a better investment for the state is entirely valid when proponents of this arena are arguing it will provide financial benefit to the state. If the numbers check out then questioning them is good, it reinforces the case. If the numbers don't check out then questioning ...

Here’s a couple of absolutely terrible photos of the new signage going on this morning: https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211027/5a9ec39b45b10f3c78ec464b15fc6d16.png https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211027/771fd1d4c6abc6206e5fedf89f74087d.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The developers exp...

Its not that it looks cheap, it's just such an uninspired design. Its best viewing angle...from a great distance  There is something to be said for the distance comment. The design and scale of elements of the building means that it looks larger than it actually is since there's nothing alongs...

Well if it isnt the pot calling the kettle black
Example?
I don't need or want to give you an example.
I'll continue to fall back on first-hand stories from people I know working in the medical sector then, despite your attempts to label them as "stirring trouble".

This building does look cheap as with the tiny windows, but it does look a lot better than the renders indicated it would.

I understand where you're coming from. But what is the 'forward planning' for? Why are we actively providing an easy solution to a problem that is avoidable and does not need to exist? Do you have an alternate solution for getting traffic off the freeway and into the city that doesn't involve a ram...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

One item that isn't clear from the renders so far is how the south bound traffic flow conflicts will be handled - more specifically not having traffic entering the southbound motorway tunnel from Anzac Highway clashing with traffic exiting the motorway south bound on to the South Road surface road....

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

I don't get the comments that this seems over engineered. If anything it seems quite restrained in the impact on the existing intersection and Anzac highway considering the need for traffic coming from the tunnel to keep moving without suddenly hitting lights and creating a potential backup Look, I...

Our Health System is not third world, people aren't dying in the back of an ambulance. For the last time, the health system is fine and there is nothing to fix! Lobbyists and unions are stirring trouble. :wallbash: For the last time, you stating something is a fact doesn't make it so. I tell porkie...

Re: New City Arena

Excuse my scepticism, but for my entire adult life i've read or heard the media talk about our health system being in "crisis" or at the "breaking point" and it still seems to function pretty well. First world problems. For the opposition to promise they will funnel money from t...
