Re: F1 to Adelaide
That would be awesome, I think having both as a night race would turn Adelaide in an event city like no other. This will boost Tourism in this state to another level. Have a read of the 2nd F1 to Adelaide article! Enjoy!: http://www.pitpass.com/45653-Adelaide Enjoyed the read, actually found it abo...

Re: F1 to Adelaide
A night Clipsal500 would send the parkland society into apoplexy. lol. Think of the trees! the trees! oh the humanity. lol, those people have no idea. The trees and the environment are fine. It's been fine for a long time and always will. The 1960's are long gone, I think they are still living in t...

Re: F1 to Adelaide
I agree, I am sure that we can pull it off. We also have one of the best nightlife atmospheres in the country. We did host the American 24 Hours of Le Mans in the past as well around the full F1 circuit here. A night race would be absolutely fantastic in our city and I think will further increase th...

Re: F1 to Adelaide
F1 smashes the Clipsal hands down, when I went to Melbourne GP as soon as a practice session or qualifying was over when the V8 Supercars came on pretty much everyone left and only the rev heads stayed to watch it. That was pretty much the same thing when it was here. You can put it this way if the ...

Re: F1 to Adelaide
Apparently Valencia's GP future is in doubt. I don't think a single fan would shed a tear over Valencia getting dropped. It has to be one of the most boring circuits to watch anyone race on in the world (besides NASCAR ovals). Germany isn't the only example of race sharing - there's talk of having ...

Re: F1 to Adelaide
Perhaps melbourne should look to share the GP with another city (Adelaide!) so that it alternates each year (like Hokenhiemring and Nurburgring in Germany). Cant understand why Spain has two races each year (Barcelona and Valencia) when there are only 20 races but there you go. Yeah that'll be good...

Re: F1 to Adelaide
Please quote the email in your post. Id love to read. The problem at the moment is that there are many countries or circuits that would like to have a Formula One race but, even if the cost of hosting a race were reduced significantly, there is simply no way to run enough races, twenty really is a ...

Re: F1 to Adelaide
You guys will find this very interesting, I got an email yesterday from the President of the FIA and he said that currently there are a lot of people in the F1 Paddock from the past and present etc. including drivers that want Adelaide back on the F1 Calendar and want to race here again. Oh yes and...

Re: F1 to Adelaide
I think it's still possible to get it back, and I'm going to continue to fight it until the sport that we came to love in this state returns. and that's what I want to be remembered for. I would even send a letter to the Premier to try and bring Bernie Ecclestone here for a private meeting so I can ...

F1 to Adelaide
Hi all, Do any of you miss the Adelaide Grand Prix? It was the greatest event our state has ever hosted. In my opinion all the events that were used to replace the Grand Prix are a joke. Our state is lacking a major sporting event on the international scale. The government of the past complained abo...
