Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Netw

And the whiners are out in force about the trains - they'll be overcrowded, why aren't the bigger (obviously never heard of coupling  ), they weren't built in Adelaide, they'll be vandalised, they're going to sit and collect rust until next year (obviously didn't read the part about testing). ...

[COM] Re: U/C: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment | 53,500 | $545m

Providing (temporary) seats in a space that is available is a lot different to completing a complex permanent grand stand. The completion of the structure and seating is only one element in commissioning and finalising the stands in time for hand-over. Whatever the real status of the program on sit...

[COM] Re: U/C: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment | 53,500 | $545m

I have a contact who worked on one of the big contracts for this development. As it stands the project is currently 3-4 months behind schedule. However, im sure they will put extra staff on for round the clock shifts to get it done on time! That sounds like a load of garbage, considering the easter...

Surveys are underway to gauge transport needs/interest of football followers likely to attend games at Adelaide Oval. Not sure of the fate of the much needed (to reach AAMI Stadium) free 'Footy Express' buses for 2014. They are geared to match times and run frequently to deliver spectators 'to the ...

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor

As much as I disagree with the Torrens to Torrens trench plan, I do believe that it is imperative to have either a single large scale cloverleaf/spaghetti interchange at Port Road or two smaller diamond interchanges at Grange and Torrens Road. Having three interchanges in such a short space would b...

Why would they want to build a bowling alley when there is already one down the road - and one that trades very poorly at that.

You haven't sat in an uncomfy seat until you've sat in the seats in either Prospect's grandstand or the southern stand at Norwood

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn

at what point would they use feeder buses to pick people up rather than encouraging people to drive? I mean if they use small buses (say max 20 people) to run around surrounding suburbs to feed into the bus wouldn't that be more efficient. ? Doesn't this somewhat happen already on weekends. Feeder ...

Response from Harris Scarfe to my query on FB: Harris Scarfe Hi Rene. Our Colonnades store opening has been rescheduled to early next year unfortunately. The building in which we will be situated is being built still. The good news is that because of the extra time, we are now able to open a full l...
