Some info about compulsory acquisition from todays online version of The Advertiser.... What to expect if your house is in the Torrens to Darlington firing line So, you’ve been told the government needs to bulldoze your home for roadworks … Here’s what to expect, and what you’re entitled to. Re: Beer Garden

Thanks for the footage Plasmatron, really top-notch. To be honest, when I saw the thumbnail and (embarrassingly) not even knowing that Kingston Park was a suburb of Adelaide, I just thought it was of some European city or one of Sydney's northern beaches. The density being built on the cliff top is ...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

Just my opinion but this is one of the more modern arcades in the Mall precinct. Really? The City Cross foodcourt behind Rundle Place, Rundle Mall Plaza, and Adelaide Central Plaza's. I'd even put it behind Myer Centre. The retail sections have practically no identity to them at all. This topic is ...

Re: New City Arena

Excuse my scepticism, but for my entire adult life i've read or heard the media talk about our health system being in "crisis" or at the "breaking point" and it still seems to function pretty well. First world problems. For the opposition to promise they will funnel money from th...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

It feels tired because it's so clearly under-utilized. The food court constantly sheds tenants because the rent is so high compared to the amount of customers passing through. Ummmm, okay. This is under-utilized so let's do an expensive refurb to make the rent more affordable :?: Just my opinion bu...

Re: New City Arena

Artists are not the ones bypassing us. It is the promoters. The reason has nothing to do with venues. We have venues. The reason is money. They don't make money or struggle to make money here. It is what it is. This also applies to many of the music festivals we used to have, very little profit was...

I would at least like to hope they get a very fair price for their properties, taking into consideration the recent house price increases. Plus a little cherry on top too.

There's now a sales and info stand set up in the atrium between the Central Market and food court.

Yeah nice little surprise development, elegant design in the core CBD and found a few tenants too. Good result.

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure

There seems to be a new large scale solar/wind/battery farm announced every other week in SA. It's hard to keep up. I check this thread regularly out of interest but it's far from my area of expertise. Could someone post a quick list of all current projects that are under SWP/construction/commission...

Re: Adelaide Oval Expansion

I'd also imagine that aside from crowd numbers, the AFL would've been nervous about the possibility of an outbreak in S.A between now and the Grand Final. Seeing as we share a border with NSW and Victoria, the likelihood of that happening would be much higher than in W.A.

Yep, i'm all for developments like this in inner city areas. Projects like this are slowly becoming the norm, hopefully if we keep up this pace then they will no longer be worthy of a mention in this forum. That's my dream :D

C'mon peeps, not quite sure what the problem is re Rebel Sport. Some dark paint and you all getting in a tizz! In the current climate i'd be happy if I owned that building.

As if that stupid flag will actually happen, it's only a render. Chill out
