Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure
I paid for solar and later a battery. I am about 95% self sufficient other than my system does depend on the main grid being on to work at all. That requirement for the grid to be on is because I didn't want to pay more to gain a feature I don't consider important. Get the right solar/battery syste...

Re: News & Developments: Anzac Highway
I feel there is as much house character along Anzac Highway as there is along South Road.
I personally think saving a few old private houses is entirely pointless.

Re: Deregulation of Shop Trading Hours
Adelaide rules are the exact same as rules seen in Perth and Brisbane. Adelaide is not unique or 10 years behind etc. Adelaide does a typical thing seen in multiple other major cities in Australia. All that said I would entirely support unrestricted trading in the Adelaide CBD. I haven't actually se...

Re: Deregulation of Shop Trading Hours
It is such a non issue that is entirely beatened up. There is a restriction on large stores so they can only open 12am-9pm mon-fri, 12am-5pm sat and 9am-5pm sun. Only Coles kurralta park in all of Adelaide is open for those hours. Every other supermarket has chosen to open for less hours than allowe...

Re: MATS Plan - Available Now
What is the different outcome from a plan that isn't followed and a plan that doesn't exist?
As far as I can see the creation of the MATS plan was a waste of time and money.

All browsers on iOS are safari with a skin. Eg only ui and password manager etc.
There is no difference to try in other browsers, there is no other browsers on iOS.

[U/C] Re: Ovingham Level Crossing Removal | $231m
Churchill road and Torrens road are minor roads compared to Main North, North East Road, Payneham Road, Greenhill road, Fullarton road, Portrush road, Grand Junction Road Etc etc. And all of them with much higher traffic levels haven't found the funding for overpasses. There is many overpass priorit...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
The trial was to Mt Barker.
The talk mentioned if a train to Mt Barker occurred next would be Murray Bridge, Victor etc etc.
So they talked about a trial and then also talked about services to more places.

Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands
Medians and verges of main roads are all green lawns and landscaped gardens where I live. The council is out mowing constantly at the moment but it isn't all done yet. Rainfall for August, September and likely October for Adelaide metro is much higher than mean average. And for me the ttg council ha...

Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands
WTF is with the 2m high weeds in the middle of the tram line on Port road? C'mon...not only embarrasing..but I would have thought a fire hazard. I think lots of rain has everything growing much faster than typical right now. Many councils appear to have a backlog of work to mow down very high weeds.
