Re: News & Developments: Other Suburban Retail

That sky garden looks incredible. I agree MicBara that a restaurant may not be suited to the observation deck. A bar, similar to what we have at 2KW, Sol, Mayfair etc could work though.

The middle section looks okay, but either side leaves a lot to be desired. Wonder how it will look at night

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses

Happy New Year to all! I usually do Glenelg for NYE, but changed it up and went to Elder Park. Granted, NYE is literally a once-in-a-year event, but the principle shows that if there is sufficient service, people will use it. Hundreds if not thousands lined up for trams, trains and buses. To digres...

The Adelaide Oval has unveiled a new $5 million LED upgrade of its light towers, now equipped with both immaculate white sports lighting and full colour ‘light show’ capabilities. The new LED lighting replaces the high intensity discharge (HID) lighting that was last updated in 2014 as part of the ...

Excellent work, MicBara and team. Really looking forward to seeing this one go up - will be a game changer for Adelaide.

The observation deck sounds like it will be fantastic.

The Telstra Exchange building on Waymouth St looks to be getting a new lick of paint while repairs to the facade are being undertaken.

Spotted this last week just off Bentham St.

Re: News & Discussion : New Restaurants, Bars & Night Clubs

I'm quite alarmed by these small bar and club closures. It's almost like the Liberals' move to massively hike licence fees was a terrible idea or something... EFTPOS killing the cash rinsing business is probably more their issue. I'd say inflation, rising cost of living, high interest rates, and in...

Re: News & Discussion: General CBD Development

Anyone know what's going on the with the Telstra Exchnage building on Waymouth Street? Gantries have gone up around the building and half the carpark adjacent to it has been closed off. Repairs to the entire building's facade are being undertaken (finally). Scaffolding was erected years ago to prot...

It seems Keswick Creek will soon be a Bikeway as per maps in the T2D Urban Design Strategy.
A much better outcome than using it as a tramway. The future airport tramway needs to go down HBR or SDB to maximise development opportunities along those routes.
