[U/C] M2 North-South Motorway

This feels like a targeted leak to either identify a serial leaker within the LNP, and / or (and possibly more likely) make Koutsantonis look like an idiot. It is completely at odds with the most recent high level scoping study, which mentioned either trench the whole way or tunnel from the river t...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

It shows major construction work on the proposed tunnel, which would form Stage 1 of the project, might not start until 2024 and may not be completed until mid-2028. The papers also reveals work on Stages 2a and 2b, between Anzac Highway and the River Torrens, would not begin until Stage 1 was fini...

Re: News & Discussion: Other Metropolitan Developments

Couldn’t find a relevant thread, but the Failed Bunnings site (Former Panorama TAFE site) is now for sale again with Colliers as of the last day or so.

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

New Infrastructure Minister Corey Wingard said work was continuing to progress on the North-South corridor project. “We won’t be rushed into making a decision on the biggest project in the state’s history because the Opposition, with a track record of delivering nothing, says so,” he said. “An Oppos...

A bit of a thought... How are they going to know if a tunnel or tunnels are possible for the whole section, part of the section, or not at all, if they don't do these more detailed works? This geotechnical stuff seems pretty standard and reasonable. To say that they are not doing anything, not movi...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

R2P seems to be moving at a blistering pace Its not that big of stretch of road. Its just widening a road and building a bridge over an existing one. If it wasnt moving along smoothly I'd be asking why, considering its not exactly something ground breaking for SA, like say a tunnel under suburbia. ...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

Just saw on the news that Emirates has pulled out of Adelaide :o Hopefully it's just during the pandemic. They had already suspended adelaide flights for covid19. This announcement is for them withdrawing permanently. Based on the following quote in Advertiser from an Emirates spokesperson, not sur...

Nine News Adelaide to show a story tonight ( Monday ) on the completion of the Darlington Upgrade Project. Expected time frame would be as little as 4 weeks which will be welcome news since this project has had many delays. The Southern Expressway users will have speed reductions lifted on the lowe...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway

To put in perspective, they are acquiring 48 properties for the Magill / Portrush intersection. 1000 doesn’t seem like a stretch for the rest of South Road (if going for full trench option).

Didn’t Knoll say they’d have the answer to what general form the final stage would take by end of 2019?

Now we have to wait a further 12 months?

Magill/Portrush Road Intersection Upgrade | $98m

As Burnside Village expansion has now been put on hold, but with demolition already complete on small neighbourhood shops in North East corner formerly facing Greenhill road. Would be good to see the govt Aquire a bit more land from this vacant lot while it has the chance and expand the intersection...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines

Any talk of Branson putting up Necker island as collateral is primarily (or only) for Virgin Atlantic, a completely seperate airline and debt issue.

[PRO] Re: Goodwood/Springbank/Daws Road Intersection Upgrade

I don't understand why Edward St/Raglan Avenue hasn't been done. The required land is mostly vacant, and all you're really doing is removing one right hand turn from South Rd. The Adelaide planning prerequisite is, something has to be built on the vacant land before it’s considered. In all seriousn...
