Something like Skygarden would certainly make Adelaide's iteration of an observation deck stand out from what's available across Australia! :applause:

Rundle Mall would look amazing like how Bourke Street Mall was in the 90s
Wow! The current iteration of Bourke St Mall is incredibly paired back compared to what once was! 😯

Not sure how reliable the info is, but heard this one might still be alive.
I've noticed the Architects for this recently posted on Instagram - It read as if it had been resubmitted for approval?

Aren't the blank walls part of the fire safety code or building codes or whatever? Given that one day there may well be developments on either side of this, perhaps as tall? Yes, buildings within a certain distance to eachother become fire hazards to one another with spread of flame between opening...

Re: News & Discussion: Other Metropolitan Developments

What they don't seem to consider is these new greenfield developments are a fresh slate and at the beginning is the perfect time to masterplan and establish proper infrastructure to service these new suburbs. They don't have the issues of having to retrofit infrastructure into the established metro ...

Re: News & Discussion: Other Metropolitan Developments

I didn't realise 'visionary' meant doing more of the same thing. Also no mention of upgrading trainlines or public transport, so reliance of cars to get around which equals more pollution. No mention of amenities or placemaking to these sites either. Plus, if you look at these houses being built in ...

I like the idea but if that's the design they are proposing, it is incredibly cheap and uninspired.

Watpac and Marriot signage has gone up all around the site.
Picture of fencing and signage around the site. There is also fencing blocking off Arbor Lane (next to Electra House) with same signage.

[SWP] Re: Central Market Arcade Redevelopment | ~ 135m | 35 levels

The markets themselves are great, but the arcade feels incredibly outdated, and I find it quite depressing and sort of sleazy being there! I welcome the development of the arcade as long as the actual market is left as is and doesn't experience a negative impact. As for the tower, as long as it main...

Extremely dissapointing compared to the previous iterations of this. Such a shame, this had such great potential. The feeling of dissapointment is enhanced by the fact the existing heritage facade will be demolished, with the result of very little street activation or enhancement. Such a waste. The ...
