[PRO] Re: North Adelaide Golf Course Upgrade | ~$50m
My understanding from listening to the last day or so of people blowing this way out of proportion as per mormal by the loud minority is that the course will be in State Government hands. It will revert back to an asset for the state within remaining as a public course, open access all year ...

Nothing wrong with brick facade, but the fact they are clearly non-connected panels let's things down.
These look to be 'brick slips'.
Agreed - the disconnect over each pre-cast panel interrupts the eye massively.
The finish here is a far cry from that of the Cullinan on Waymouth Street ...

Still needs to get Building Rules Consent from what I understand. Until we see that, nothing will be happening on site.
BRC for 'earlyworks, salvage and demolition' was granted on 17 April 2025.
Development Approval for this stage was granted on 24 April 2025.
A month later, I am sure the demo ...

No helipad, but how about a variation for:
"Miscellaneous amendments to the proposed interior and exterior of the mixed-use development"
Council comments seems like the eastern crossover on North Terrace will be closed.
This will mix peds with cars on a single shared path to the west.

The Guardian today “Adelaide’s first skyscraper criticised as ‘profound mistake’ and ‘hugely questionable’ by opponents”

[PRO] Re: Roseworthy Satellite City 43,300 homes
I haven't seen any evidence of a bike path/bike lane/pedestrian route between the new developments and a public school or a shop in either Roseworthy or Hewitt/Willaston. The highway has a sealed shoulder, but kerbs and K-rails prevent any option of getting out of the way, and now there's a raised ...

How confident are we that they won't be painted?
Gonna need some very, very long extension poles!
This build has turned out superbly - other than this rather ordinary eastern podium finish.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the brick slips turn out.
So nice to see brick incorporated in ...

Even with all the faults in the due process (including starting work and announcing the builder and tenants without SCAP approval) this will be the most iconic and important building in Adelaide since the State Bank (Westpac / RAA).
I can still remember the State Bank raft foundation being poured ...

Looking forward to this one getting traction eventually.
Looks like they may still be trying to work out how to make it all work - a variation has been lodged.
Unsure what this entails, but looks like they want to funnel cars from North Terrace to Rundle Street along a (former) pedestrian link ...

It says retrospective so potentially the carpark there now has not been approved. It would have been there for about 4 years too.
The land seems to be associated with Kennards.
Development on this site looked to be unbacked (not financed) and not a great deal more than a boost in land value ...

Bigger issue here is Jive next door. It should be safe due to the rules the government announced around the Cranker campaign, where a neighbouring residential development is responsible for sound proofing and can't have an existing live music venue shut down for the noise. However that list still ...
