Re: #Official Defence Thread

Any news yesterday about the proposed shift to WA of collins class maintenance from Scmo? Could not access on line his Osborne speech or any other from him yesterday. Hopefully no change - we cant afford mid stream alterations like that - esp. in covid. Did he say anything about infrastructure spend...

WA has the iron ore industry as it is. Shipbuilding is really all there is in Adelaide.. Signed the petition. WA are usurpers.

Re: #Official Defence Thread

I might be showing my ignorance but cant find any recent info about WA 'stealing' Collins class maintenance. Anyone know. Was to be already decided but I think covid 19 put it back as a decision.

Re: Crane Counter: CBD 11 | Metro 4 | Total 15

Not sure if any of you know of this site - 'Crane counter Index' for Australian cities. Very interesting read. Appear up to date with 15 cranes for Adelaide. I think it originated with Joe Bjelke in Qld as an indicator to wealth and city development.

Re: SA Economy

I might have become out of touch concerning the WA appeal to get submarine maintenance moved from here to there ....cant find the government decision. (supposed to have happened in second week of Dec. 2019). Does anyone know the outcome? What are the implications for SA?

Re: Harris Scarfe has gone broke

Concerning department stores...a short 'history lesson'......I can remember the following open in the CBD in 1974......Myer, David Jones, John Martins, Millers, Moores, Cox Foys and Harris Scarf's. There was another on the NW corner of Rundle and Pulteney. We are down to TWO. How things and shoppin...

Re: Great Southern train from Adelaide to Brisbane: Australia's new luxury train unveiled

Here's a thought - to make it really unique!! Get it pulled by a 'c38' to Albury, a Vic.' s' class to SA and the '621' to Adelaide. That'll get the real historical element in if high speed is not a major issue. This sort of thing is getting quite a bit of appeal in Britain. Trouble is the associated ...

[APP] Re: Central Market

What an extraordinary development - ticks all the boxes for me. Now hoping it is not dumbed down - great looking design - 135meters - starting to get a few skyscrapers at last. Cant wait for this to start.
