The proposal was a turd coated in tomato sauce served to anyone who supports LNP that uses PT as well. Maybe 60-75% of services cut. Complete con out of desperation to minimise public transport operating costs.
Note that there were still over 70 high floor buses in service at the time. This would ...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
Speaking of Gawler. If the line had it's timetable updated, it would be possible to do an entire trip in about 51-53 minutes, instead of 60. But it seems like a revised timetable is not on the cards. But this may not happen until 2040 assuming it occurs at all. No point voting for these slobs, for ...

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn
Not just a matter of guide wheels. The axles have to be modified as well. Also, I think radio contact in the tunnel works differently.
Permitting CNG buses in the tunnel is asking for trouble, due to them being notoriously unreliable. How many CNG buses would you modify for this, out of the 70 ...

[U/C] Re: Port Adelaide Dock Spur Line
I just checked the timetable. This is trivial. But I noticed that trains from Port Dock have 3 minutes from Cheltenham to Woodville Park on weekdays. That is one minute per station in a diesel set. It looks to be exclusive to trains running to PD. This is worse than the stoppers from Noarlunga at ...

Re: Push For Public Transport To Be Free In Australia
Off topic. But if this is the case, then where do the drivers who are given the pre Scania era (2004-present) dinosaurs come from? The extra peak services are largely enabled through the existence of broken shifts. IE often but not always commuting to and from the depot twice in a day.
And there is ...

[PRO] Re: Grange-Holbrooks-East Ave Dog Leg
Drivers often underestimate the speed of a road bike so assume the one the driver overtook five seconds ago is nowhere near them any more, but the back of their car hasn't cleared the bike yet.
What I don't understand is why some of them ride against traffic. IE say on Marion Rd, they're ...

Possible? Definitely.
Financially viable, or practical/attractive to voters? Less likely. Enough said.

With another km and a half added, it could rejoin the current OH line near Glanville with a station like Goodwood to facilitate a change of trains. The old alignment could be used for some loop operation, and to provide express services between the CBD and Alberton.

Being in a museum, it would be fitting to build a short ramp for accessibility instead of a platform, that only enables one door on the train to be accessed. It would be a huge money saver for this joke of a government.

Well what's the solution? Castrate folks at birth? It will only take a max of about 100 years to bring the population down by 98% with this method. But it will ruin the economy.

Actually, the vehicles with the best suspensions in South Australia would have to be the AdMet Scanias from 1973-1045. These can withstand even the most challenging of uneven surfaces, as though they were a maglev bus. You would not even know that you were on a public road after a few seconds.

Curtis Rd is a car park in peak periods. It seriously needs at least two or three lanes. It's not going to fix itself.

I am so sick of these stupid consecutive governments believing that intersections provide better efficiency than grade separation. Particular when close to rail crossings.

From what I heard, the road was a carpark in the late morning today near Regency Rd. Was there an MVA? Overpopulation will continue to provide everlasting reassurance of road congestion, unless it's brought under control.
