Re: Flinders University - Developments & News
Basically they were short sighted when they plonked the private hospital/margaret tobin centre/carpark where they did. Had that not been there they could have easily curved the train line up flinders university drive and then either cut across pine plantation and ring road or more likely keep going ...

An integrated over the rail yard stadium will not work too many sports and the layout would not cater well for all sports. An integrated roofed stadium for tennis, basketball, netball and concerts is a must and makes absolute sense. A boutique soccer/rugby stadium would be a nice to have Locations a...

A slightly smaller floor size more angles and curves and making building 120m+ would be a start. The state development commmision/panel should tell developers that square boxes will not be approved without exceptional design will get some off these cookie cutter architects and developers thinking ou...

Paid Parking??? Chadstone in Melbourne does not have paid parking and they are much much more upper class than Marion. So why should SA shoppers be slugged.
If they have paid parking in Marion i will just boycott that centre. I may as well be going to the CBD then.

Back to the drawing board that exterior is hideous for a building that is supposed to last several decades. Location and general shape of building ok but windows (lack of and shite positioning) and cladding NO NO NO who is the architect. Is it same mob that gave us that concrete commie block student...

This building, the king william proposal, adelaidean and realm which change be such a change on the skyline. Hope that they are just a precursor for what is to follows and that others such as twin st, park hotel on pirie, the festival centre tower follow but then much more. Hopefully within the next...

It may get batter once we see the entire wall in its entirety but yes its very bland and certainly for such a prominent spot around the square should not have been allowed. Disappointing for offices of a large multinational
Even the student tower planned for North Terrace has more appeal.

The blank western wall - just like Park Central Bowden
An awful hideous sight. They need to force them to use reasonable cladding or paint.
Suspect that a lot of his plain concrete walls we are seeing at the moment has more to do with what happened in London due to the cladding not being fireproof.

I would say since this is already approved its all too late it more just a delaying tactic. Delay student tower as long as possible so appartments in Adelaidean sell and no building visible during build process. After Adelaidean is built/completed buff up comes the Student accommodation no longer th...

Surely i would have expected that whoever is providing finance eg bank, building society, superannuation fund etc would ensure that the builder/developer has paid some level of insurance prior to proceeding to ensure that the building is built/finished/handed over even in the event the builder goes ...

Let’s not fuss over design and whether 4 or 2 lanes is required more importantly it about a feasibility study for a bridge. Once you factor in tourism, jobs, agriculture/aquaculture and land prices I reckon it is quite feasible. Would you plan on having a holiday home on KI most likely not but with ...

Its amazing how St Aloysius College and Fire Department take up so much prime space close to the central square in the city. Kodo is looking amazing just lonely. Its quite obvious that Government needs to continue its stamp duty concessions and incentives for inner city living. Hopefully within 10 y...
