[COM] Re: South Road Upgrade

Why has the Rann government got an obsession with Underpasses when Overpasses cost about
3 times less. Im sure that they wouldnt be having such big cost blowouts if tunnelling was not
involved.

Re: Would you use tolled roads??

People using toll roads in Adelaide would only work if the price was respectable say $1-2 each way that way if you use that toll road to get to work and back you would pay $2-4 a day that would equate to $400-800 a year based on work days only. Any higher than $2 dollars each way or having multiple ...

[COM] Re: $1.7bn plan to build a new RAH

Hahhh if the current patients and visitors enjoy a walk in the botanic gardens
maybe they will enjoy the views of Adelaide's delapidated train tracks,

Re: #Completed : Adelaide Airport

So aside from this expansion, in the future would the old domestic terminal site become T2 - for international terminal? That is what i have imagined it to be. I have only thought this because the current terminal could easily serve as an domestic purpose terminal, as existing aerobridges reserved ...

[COM] Re: What next for Victoria Square?

Here is the post I was reffering to.... thanks AtD  Personally, I still haven't forgiven Harbo for playing politics with Victoria Sq. He used a bit of NIMBY-ism and a scare campaign in the last council elections, suggesting closing Victoria Square to east/west traffic and turning it into a tr...

[COM] Re: What next for Victoria Square?

Why waste money on a designing a plan if they have no intention of implementing it!!! There is nothing wrong with the plan by KBR consulting a number of years back which had the tram tracks along the side. the central corridor closed off and a music pavillion at one end. The design was simple and el...

Re: Adelaide a city, not a town - Mike Duffy Blog

Adelaide will never have a large number of office buildings because businesses usually set up their head office where their largest market is. However we could have a vibrant city none the less with high rise appartments, hotels, student accomodation. The way to do this is to get demand up for appar...
