With the Casino Upgrade and other developments this should go ahead.
It also seems the are thinking of a reasonable size 12-15k as its gone from 150mil to a 300mil proposal. With tennis the need to get a ATP 500 or ATP 1000 event here

[CAN] Re: 322 KWS - Echelon | 114m | 2 x 31 Lvls | Mixed Use
Some of these developers need to look outside the box - rather than just a standard highrise box of appartments regardless of fittings might be able to distinguish itself from others by having an outdoor courtyard with barbecue facilities, common pool, common gym, movie theatre, possibly restaurants...

Pity if thats the case was hoping it would fill a void in the southern skyline. However the developer only has themselves to blame because upfront marketing noting its aimed at becoming a high rise retirement village would have put of a lot of potential buyers not to mention even office occupiers. N...

Good to see some grass and trees. Hopefully there is also a few cafes restaurants and retail. Pity the majority of the site not like this. The Tafe should have been multi storey too.

Needs part time traffic lights Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk Plans don’t mention lights. Talked to one of the council planners/engineers who noted there would be ramping on main road ie part time lights. However their plans make no mention of it. Without ramp lights on main road this upgrade...

Were they going to use cheap cladding and the due to London incident left it out due to safety without any alternative. Looks tacky and unfinished. Government should force developers/owners fix up the painting/cladding

Whilst exciting news the capacity they are talking of is on the small side. It should be somewhere between 12,000-15,000 to cater for major tennis, basketball and concerts. They should get rid of current entertainment center, where they could continue the Bowden development, and possibly also replac...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Convention Centre - Stage 3 | $350m
Even though these facilities are great regards Convention Centre, i believe the whole Convention Centre / Riverside precinct has been a lost opportunity. It could have been much more including shops, restaurants, promenade etc similar to Southbank or Darling Harbour. Even though there will be some r...

Here is a simulated view from the top of the future Realm Apartments http://aerometrex.com.au/demo/ADL_buildings.html That's very cool and there's also one for Adelaidean. However the view heights are at the tops of the buildings, not the top floor so they're a bit higher than the highest views you...

Very bland and unimaginative. Typical Adelaide though! We have a Scrooge government that always takes the cheap and nasty option.
They should be selling the space above the station and having some office building and like already noted some retail, amenities possibly a food court.

This whilst ambitious would stick out like a sore thumb. I am way pro high rise developments but in this area it just seems TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE. Once the suburb has already been filed with townhouses where the 4-5 storey buildings should have been and 3-5 storey buildings were the 15-30 storey bui...

Re: Port Adelaide | Developments & News
Yes lets fill in valuable waterfront land with small low 2-3 storey townhouses. What an absolute waste of space and environmental vandalism. It would be much better having fewer well designed better placed high rises with proper parks, wetlands, gardens, cafes, shops, playgrounds etc that would attr...
