Re: Reservoirs open for fishing
There is no reason for all reservoirs excluding kangaroo creek, hope valley, mt bold and happy valley to be opened for fishing. Some should be stocked with trout and salmon others with natives. They would boast tourism as well as increasing funds for pirsa, to allow regular restocking and taking fis...

[COM] Re: Adelaide Convention Centre - Stage 3 | $350m
Only in Adelaide can we have these modern developments split by those ugly rowing club boat sheds. Also whilst the upgrades to the convention centre have been good I think Adelaide has missed a huge opportunity. Imagine had the upgrades all been done as one big development with retail and restaurant...

Re: Holden 'to close Australian operations in 2017'
No surprise this has happened. You can blame GM, you could blame the Abbott Government and you can blame previous Labour Government, but blaming these is just plain wrong. Aussies have become more sophisticated yuppies that want to drives Mercedes, Audi's, BMW's, Jaguar's, Porsches, Honda's, the lis...

Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Netw
State Labour only has itself to blame it should never have delayed electrification of any of the lines. The backbone of our network is the railway lines and they should be a priority to providing an efficient and more frequent service. One thing that is very clear in this whole mess is that Infrastr...

That's more to the point I think, it's that bad can they possibly think that we are stupid enough to pay for it.Waewick wrote:but really, who actually buys the advertiser? it is rubbish absolute rubbish.

ADVERTISER RIPOFF
The changing of Adelaide.com is disappointing to charge people $4 or more to access a website is ridiculous. I hope that more South Aussies boycott this paper and it's greedy owners. Forcing people to pay for news online when we have free to air TV is absurd. Instead of being clever with their one l...

[VIS] Re: VIS: Affordable Apartments | 108m | 30+lvls
Affordable? That would be the day, the reason apartments don't sell we'll in Adelaide and most of Australia is that they are incredibly overpriced. For example suburban home builders Lower -$700-900sqm Middle - $900-1200sqm Upper - $1100-1300sqm Premium - $1500-2000sqm eg 300sqm would cost $600000 o...

Great design, pity that the area is spoilt by the 4-5 level city west campus.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Parklands
Our parklands should be called bushlands because only a few are what people in other cities call parks and gardens.
These areas full of gum trees and scrubs are so uninviting to our international visitors and interstate guests.

Re: Copper Coast | Developments & News
Councils especially regional ones should embrace building up as they can create nice compact mini cities with all amenities and services thus not stretching service needs such as roads, water, electricity etc and these towns would be more popular

Re: Public transport smartcard system
Apparently card will cost you $25 and have only $5 credit included. You then better not lose those cards as they will cost you $20 not including credit every time you lose it. Government trying to rip off other patrons to recoup fare evasion costs?

Re: #ONH: Newport Quays | [ Port Adelaide Waterfront ]
Yes old building are safe to reuse problem is they are much more costly to maintain and cannot easily be modified. Hence the reason that the people with the money shy away from them because they are just a money pit. After a while of neglect due to costs they become derelicht buildings. Problem with...

They arent going to underground the station so what matter does it have if they build an road overpass or underpass next to it. The rail line will still be at ground level.
