Re: News & Developments: Prospect
As posted in the other thread, Kaufland has left the Australian market. Hopefully we will get a better proposal now that integrates better with the train station. Have been surprised over the past couple of days to see work continuing on this one. Would’ve thought after the announcement that there ...

There has been some serious concrete buckling at the pedestrian overpass just south of Hawker Street. It is on the ground level just at the entrance of the eastern side of the crossing. It looks like some serious expansion of concrete! I only noticed it on a run last night when I almost tripped ove...

That large shed is big enough to build two ships side by side! Remember, this is only the shipyard. There is a boatyard to be built alongside. Approximately $1b worth of infrastructure at Osborne over the next couple of years. Thanks Spurdo. I went down to have a look a while ago and was blown away ...

Re: News & Developments: Prospect
Ok, so not technically Prospect but close enough. There is a DPA in place to rezone a 8060 sqm site on Belford Street in Devon Park from commercial to medium residential. Not a huge development (about 40 dwellings consisting of townhouses and apartments) however with the just completed Park Link on ...

I’m loving how they have dug holes in the T2T already!! Making all traffic slow to 60 because the far left lane in each direction has a plate over the hole... really‽ From those pictures, T2T really is the poverty stricken section. Are those poles at Grange, Port and Torrens actually finished? Is th...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
Here's an idea. Remove all the relatively young natives trees that have been planted at the site of the new WCH that we all know will be ripped up shortly. 'Sell' them to the residents of both Devonport Terrace and Exeter Terrace as trees that will be used for the remediation post project completion...

Wouldn't you include a grade separation of Hawker Street while you are at it considering it is only 500m away from Torrens Road?

Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands
A net gain to open space (as in, parklands restoration) as well as full community access would make this tolerable. You'd presume it wouldn't need to be anywhere near as large without the full competitive swimming set up. Car parking can go underground or not at all -- public transport options (inc...
