That's optimistic for any business that sets up there considering on weekdays there probably won't be much foot traffic going that way.

That looks very silly and I'm sure there will be lots of complaining voices.
Which means it's perfect.

Negative Nancy strikes again. :applause: As of October 2020, nuclear power usage is increasing globally. There's over 50 reactors/plants being built at the moment in over a dozen countries. Plants are being upgraded and life cycles of plants being extended. Work on new types of reactors is continui...

Re: Tunnel under the airport ASAP!
I'm unsure how it follows from reduced aircraft numbers that the runways full length isn't required. Long runways are really only needed for long haul flights, but there are very few of those at the moment. I'm sure a commercial arrangement could be arranged with the airlines to keep those few serv...

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn
With talk of a transit corridor mainly from the perspective of O Bahn use of Grenfell Street, does anyone know why the O Bahn has not been considered for electrification in its current form? Conversion to light rail aside (this has been discussed previously ad nauseum), I would have thought the fix...

Re: Tunnel under the airport ASAP!
I've finally thought of a way we could take advantage of Covid: With very few aircraft using Adelaide Airport at the moment, and widebodies in particular likely to be seldom seen this year and next, there's far less need to keep the main runway open for its full length. Which means we have a rare o...

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn
I think a problem with that median setup is that it leaves less space for footpaths and overtaking lanes for buses when the goal should be to make it a more pleasant environment for pedestrians and a faster corridor for public transport. The bus stop appears to be the concrete pad, and the through ...

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn
The O-Bahn tunnel was quite cheap at $160 million. The thing is, there are no bus stops inside the tunnel. When you put bus stops in a tunnel, the cost shoots up because the tunnel will be wider where the stops are, plus you need ramps for the pedestrians. It's looking at the problem the wrong way....

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn
It's looking at the problem the wrong way. Grenfell street is a major commuter road where buses and cars compete. Rather than expensive tunneling, it would be far cheaper to make Grenfell and Currie street's more bus focused. Completely removing cars from those street's isn't really practical due t...
