Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
Was in the Central Markets today and Chemist Warehouse faces the Arcade, has a nice big glass window along the entire frontage, theres a small entrance to the rear as seen in the photos on here, that is what it looks like the door on the right leads to a back entrance, the blue door on the left of t...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
A private airport express tram and an all stops Henley Beach tram could work, you could easily get the 10 bus stops between the city and airport road down to 5 or 6 tram stops. The airport express tram could run every 15mins and be slotted in between a tram to Henley every 10 or 15mins. It would be ...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
It doesn't matter if it faces the markets, it's clearly not in the central markets it's in the arcade, the laneway is between the two properties. The arcade has shops that the market doesn't, the market and arcade survive off each other, the market is the big drawcard but having an arcade attached w...

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
Chemist Warehouse is in The Central Market Arcade, along with Coles, other chemists and many other shops, i haven't been to the market area recently but it looks like from the picture thats the rear of Chemist Warehouse so it's frontage would be facing the arcade. Look at Google maps the markets are...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
All the planned lines are running through shopping strips, Prospect Road is wide enough, it's not a through route for cars anyway. The North-South freeway can take the load once finished. The Gawler line can transport the new residents on Churchill Road into the city. Prospect Road can become a nice...

It's not in the Central Market, that side of the row is in the Central Market Arcade https://www.centralmarketarcade.com.au/menu

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
Prospect link should run via Prospect Road, you have two shopping strips on Prospect Road a depot could be built in the industrial area south of Grand Junction Road. Churchill Road runs parallel to the train line, which once electrified will have a higher frequency. Run it up O'Connell Street onto P...

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
South Road at the Ashwin Street corner at Bricksworks is eight lanes wide, another two can easily fit if you build the road up to Brickworks wall, plus just south of the river the old Brickworks buildings start an extra 20m further away from the road. A tunnel portal could be built here and it would...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
That article was misleading the tram is free in Glenelg from stop 15 to 17 and between the Entertainment Centre and South Tce, if someone wanted a free trip most of the time all they need to do is have a Metrocard on them and only touch on when they see an inspector, it's not like in Melbourne where...

Why aren't there any photo Metrocards for concession cards or student cards? The type of card is written on it and shows up when scanned to check if its validated.

There's no way the council will narrow the footpath / outdoor dining area in this location. They should widen the footpath along that stretch, those buildings are almost on the road- https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-34.9268698,138.6064054,3a,75y,196.07h,80.71t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sRCRFvsbi2V1ZhLOvlBK...

Re: News & Discussion: Transport Projects
Quickest ARS to Gawler Central express is 47min and 7 stops. Are people going to try and argue that we should be running non stop trains from Gawler to ARS. If you run a two tired system of all stops and high frequency stations only you would have a 55min and 45min service to Gawler Station (add 4mi...

Re: News & Discussion: Transport Projects
The major problem with the Belair is it's single track, this can add 10mins to a standard 37min journey (look at the timetable) Also it's a hilly and windy line its always going to be slower then a flat line. Even if you could get the 21.5km journey to Belair down to 30min, that would mean it would ...

Re: News & Discussion: Transport Projects
Very short sighted closing them, Tambelin is going to be in the middle of housing in the future, Kudla will be the same, Nurlutta depends on what happens to Holdens. Greenfields could close, Chidda could close, the level crossing at Kings Road should go and make Parafield a bus interchange station. ...

Re: News & Discussion: Transport Projects
Once the city loop is built trains will run more frequently, the Flinders line will be finished the extension to Aldinga built, Gawler line electrified which would mean a high frequency service for the major stops and less for the in between stops. Some stations are too close but the expanding subur...
